Can someone point me KV-1S and T-34-85 weak spots ?
I fight those tanks very often and it seems "You suck a lot" is not just an insult , but it`s true ... I found on the net the weak spots of the KV-1 and the T-34 but no video or pictures of those tanks . I would be happy if there is also the points where the crew members are .

Thanks alot and feel free to comment.

P.S.: I forgot - i drive a VK3001P, and i wonder what crew skills to pick after i get their major to 100%.

I gotta be honest, i dont know the KV-1S weakpoints at the moment. Last time i drove it, the entire tank was a weakpoint, I'm going to assume they buffed it, because you see it a LOT more often then you used to. Dont see the KV-13 as much mind... sorry that didnt help. the KV-1S is tough, so dont worry about not understanding where to hit it. it dont make you a noob. it makes you willing to learn

Both tanks are...weakspots :). They have few armour, especially t-34-85. For safety avoid shoting at turrets.

You can try this site

and press vulnerability.

Hello there.
All the KV series tanks have a weak front lower plate (the big fat rounded one at the bottom) which can be penned by guns over 80 penetration easely.
As for the T-34-85 I never bothered to find its weakspots because it has really thin armour. You are probably shooting it at a low angle. So I don't go on too much the simplest way to pen it is to shoot the part closest to your tank.  PS:avoid shooting mantlets and tracks, you will most likely bounce(mantlet) or do no damage (tracks).
Have fun. :Smile_Default:

Both T-34 have hulls as weakspots, just aim for less angled part.

KV-1s is similar, just avoid highly sloped part in middle of frontal armour, it can bounce off quite mean guns. Lower plate is also quite big.

In both tanks for fail-safe reasons avoid turret, though KV-1s turret "cheeks" are easty to penetrate if he is aiming at you. But any "my hand slipped off" and it bounce, due to rounded shape.

KV-1S strongpoints -> turret mantlet.
KV-1S weakpoints -> Fuel containers on sides, tracks, drivers hatch, mg ball mounts (next to drivers hatch and back of turret)

My poor tank is relegated to sniping :P

Thanks for the replies ... the website that was provided above in the posts shows everything in details ... in deep details... I know T-34-85 has almost no armour - but its a medium like my tank and it hurts alot wit this 85mm gun. Both enemies are quite dangerous and they got more sloped armour than my own tank .

Just avoid shooting at the T34-85 front turret, armour is 115mm there. Everywhere else is cardboard, I know I've got one! :Smile_ohmy:

just don't forget that kv-1s with 122mm has about 15sec reload, that's quite a lot of time but instead using it i see people hiding behind cover and repeatedly getting hit for ~350 in peek-a-boo fight [well it's not physical weakspot but being disabled for this time in tier VI fight is quite disadvantage]

KV-1S have the similar weakspot as the simple KV-1 or T-150. Shoot them at their back side. Most of the times they start to burn too if you shoot there. I dont know where to burn other tanks but with the KVs it is the best spot.
KV-1S has good more angled turret than the KV-1, KV-2 or T-150 so avoid to shoot that.
Anyway nowadays there are a lot of KV-1S but just rare T-150 or KV-3. Thats why im going with the rares ;)

KV-1S has a 75mm hull, aim at the least sloped armor on the hull and the short 88 should penetrate the armor without isseus. the T-34-85 also sports a paper 45mm thick hull. though sloped all round it should not pose a problem for the short 88 to penetrate.

KV-1S is popular as its fast, sports a monster alpha gun with huge penetration and has heavy levels HP. a KV-1S platoon has a monsterous 1170 alpha damage if they decide to focus fire, and with 175mm of penetration, there is nothing on T6 that can survive the alpha..or bounce it in a reliable way.

to deal with the KV-1S in a 1v1 fight is to get the drop on it and keep fireing at it..even when it tries to retreat, this will work on the KV-1S if he's distracted and at least slightly hurt. he will try to retreat so he can reload in safety. but remember the VK3001P sports a 6 second reload..and can unload 440 worth of damage when the KV-1S fires. If you get the drop on it you can trade 660 (3 shots) dmg for 390 (1 shot) from him. so you'll need him slightly damaged to begin with (at least below the 660HP mark) as he will 2 shot your ~710 or so HP, and the KV-1S sports ~860.

agressive combo's only work when targets are isolated and a single wrong move will mean you die instead of the target, as you'll be exposed the whole time but they might be suprisingly effective against these tanks:

to 1 combo kill a KV-1S wait for him to fire and roll in immidiatly after that to unload on him, if engaging from the side aim on the front wheel of his tracks (the drive wheel) this should track him and cause damage..pinning him in place and barring him from running to allies. and you can (if you get in there fast) trade 4:1 with them  his second shot will come ~30 seconds after he fired..thats enough time for the VK3001P to roll in and fire 4 times to kill him and be victorious. piont is you have to be quick..as a 6 second delay will mean you die instead of him

the T-34-85 fires faster then the VK. but can be engaged in a simular agressive manner. get in close enough and make sure your front is pionted towards him when you roll out of cover to engage. wait for him to fire or be distracted..then roll out and fire once on the hull and ram him. as he only sports 45MM or armor and is a lot lighter then you he will take a serious amount of ramming damage on top of the 220 dmg shot. then tank 1 shot and kill the T34-85 by hitting his hull with your second 88 shell.

For me KV-1S with 122mm is one of the favourite tanks. Once you get IS turret and 122mm and top engine you will enjoy it. I can hit tier VII easily and often also tier VIII. Tier IV and under are just fodder to me. It is a fast tank, perfect for peekaboo or moving quickly around on the battlefield to help my fellows. Perfect tank. I really dont care about armor issues. Just do not fight on the open, that's it. 3 kills in a fight is very common. By the way, KV-1S with IS turret is actually called KV-85 :)
