Module/fire repeat destruction?

Tom_R6's Photo Tom_R6 19 Aug 2012

Been playing a while now and also played the beta, and have been getting quite annoyed and the fact if you get a damaged module and repair it, it seems to be very easily destroyed again. Im not just talking tracks that's understandable but I been gun for example. when its hit and ive gone games without it being knocked out then bang destroyed twice in 2 shots. And before and rants about "its someone aiming for it" its the same with splash and he. also today I got shot and set on fire in my batchat (10% chance), put it out, get shot again and bam on fire????????? Anyone got any ideas or just another wg game mechanic.

If someone shoots you in the leg with a gun, your leg heals after some time, you get shoot again at the same spot, would you expect that you won't be hurt?

Yes its a game mechanic - its called randomness and bad luck.

Offset the -1 from the OP for asking a normal question.

However 80%+ of this game uses auto aim even when upfront, so if they actually do damage it will be the turret or the gun that gets damaged.

Tracks, well we all know russian tanks have a stockpile of thousands of HP for tracks alone while german tanks have 1hp for tracks and all the rest gets trampled (yes magic the gathering) through to every module possible, preferably setting fire to the ammo rack from the lower front plate as well.

It's just how WG thinks.

So true u burn u stop it and next shot u burn again and its so weird where this modules are. German tanks burn by shooting front and engine gets destroyed then ammoravk by shooting side front turret hull so random but when u shoot a tanks ass engine takes no dmg and when hit this fuelcontainers u dont even burn often thia is just random like all the rest

modules that are located behind weakspots tend to get hit often (german engines because the transmission is behind the lower hull plate, USSR medium ammo racks as they are located in the center hull flank or under the glacis plate on the left side, IS-4 and IS-7 drivers as their hatches are known weakspots)

engine fires can happen repeatedly as there is a chance repeat hitting the engine will cause another ignition but a feul tank hit is far more likely.
If the feul tank module is destroyed it causes a fire, the feul tank module will instantly repair itself. (its the only module that can't stay red for more then a second) but it will cause a fire every time its destroyed, and it saves 55% of the time, so double hits happen often enough. feul tanks are often located behind or flanking the engine. one can repeatedly ignite a tank if you know where the feul tanks are located.
