Should WG be 'big' enough to liste...

There was a really well written post from a 'bored' ex-player who dipped back into the game to see if the heady fun days of WoT had returned, but found themselves disappointed that the game had got even more tiresome as the game development has focussed so heavily on maximising revenue at all costs.
Many other, well written and constructive replies were posted. Showing that there is a significant drift of the '3-6k games played' player base who find the game tiresome and ... well.... too money grabbing to support any more.
For any intelligent business with an eye to a long-term future in the gaming world, this would be useful stuff to follow to gauge the level of disenfranchisement and drill down into the concerns to identify a balance to slow or stop the drift away.
However, one day later..... bam! Thread may as well have never existed!
360 degree feedback is a core tool for self-improvement. In a performance review context, most emotionally mature individuals are really only interested in the negative feedback Yeah, yeah it's nice to hear the positive stuff... for a bit to boost mini egos, however - good to great is all about finding what can hold you back and then eliminating those things that are stopping your good business from transforming into a great one!
What do you think about the "hear no evil" approach of WoT.
Be in fast, this post will be wiped pretty fast. After all - I'm trying to help the game I love!

I've never seen any thread here with "many other, well written and constructive replies". Any thread out here with more than 5 replies, has a high chance to mainly contain trolling, blind destructive critics or personal flames...

This one was the exception i guess. It contained enough whining of course; but the tone was kept throughout. Kind of saddening it got a rather generic "everything working as intended; move along" reply though.

I have seen a few of those as well, but almost all of them disappear in a sea of "stfu", "gtho if you don't like it" and shite like that... It's not just WG, a fair portion of the playerbase is of the same level of intelligence as well it seems...

So stop whining and get with the program......

WG is happy to have an unorganized community and they want it to stay that way. I bet if someone(or a group) would ask them to make a community section and pin topics worked out and coordinated by the community to collect ideas/feedback/suggestions for the developers which are lead by ppl from the community they would say: "No, we have a suggestion section already, that's enuff. Eat or die!" --- They won't listen.
But let's be serious... who of the guys around would be willing to offer free time to organize threads, write letters and collect/discuss ideas?
Anyone?
I tended to think the same about gouverments... I was wrong.
Cheerio!

Honestly more than half of those posts directly insult WG or their employees and are hardly constructive. On the other side even if threads are locked doesn't mean companies don't listen or understand that there is an issue.

Maybe the OP means this thread?
http://forum.worldof...did-the-fun-go/
Maybe not. Considering that threads from four days ago have already found themselves on page eight of the forums (as I view them) it is no wonder threads disappear from view.
If a thread really has been deleted then maybe it can be found via google cache?
Edit:
I can find loads of threads still open which are fairly hostile towards WG.

Yea... I heared of some threads disappearing and noticed at least one. But srsly... if ppl do critical threads(objective ones and not just shouting) and fear they could disappear: Make screenshots of ur thread in case of doubt.
Else this whole "threads disappear" thingy is pointless. *This is also a tip to the OP.*
Cheers!

I fail to notice these disappearing threads. WG usually removes insulting content, closes threads, but quite nearly never delete them. One of the reasons is the forum is indexed by google (the more pages the merrier, even if some bad words are in) .
I have been moderating other forums before, and TBH i am quite surprised at how permissive the mods are here. For example, I used to slam the banhammer on anyone that created threads about the same thing more than twice. When i see merquise creating an arty hate thread per week and mods doing nothing about it, i usually get a red mist in front of my eyes.

Threads get removed when they either spiral off topic, get filled with flame and troll baiting, or break the forums rules. If you are ever unsure about why a thread was removed you can contact myself, supercharge or any one of the forum moderators to get an explaination.
All feedback is helpful, however some people think that being rude and insulting is the perfect way to get a response. If it's not that, It's badly disguised sarcastic posts attempting to provoke reactions from either happy players or unhappy players.
The well written posts are taken on board, used as examples in manager meetings and highlighted to staff. There is a good few players on the forums who want to game to change for the better and suggest good ideas. On hte flip side there is others who if you check their posting history, just do post after post of mocking the company or picking apart anything that's said to take the negative points from it, and seem to just hang around the forums to troll, complain and not really offer anything contructive or helpful.
I've personally been to 3 events this year and met players face to face. I also reply to multiple threads on the forums, compile daily and weekly reports aswell as follow up on things when I'm not scheduled/paid to be working. I care a great deal about the game along with the other community members. To think we just dismiss bad feedback is kinda crazy, feedback is extremely important to us. All i've ever asked people is just to be mindful on how you present it.

Ectar, despite the hard time the you and your fellows receive, I think the comments for the most part are aimed at those who developed WOT. Not the community managers.

I can honestly say that I can't remember any threads that have been deleted but only those that have been locked and then it always seems with a justifiable reason. Indeed I would say that the mods here are if anything to 'easy going' in what they allow.

I think under all the dross, moaning and calling the development team idiots there are some good ideas presented in the forums and which WG would seem to take on board in some form. The real problem is that it's not obvious what is and isn't taken on board from these forums and what the conclusion is even if there's good reason not to make a change.
If you look at the dedicated, and rather under used, Player Suggestions sub-forum there seems little feedback as to what has happened to the suggestions and this is a dedicated sub-forum for ideas. Now obviously you can't get a reply to all questions asked but currently there seems to be zero feed back in general.
Take the reduction of the tier spread in 7.5 - was this the result of forum posts, a developer idea or 'balancing' of in-game income? On a slightly related topic WG also don't seem great at giving feedback (regardless of where the idea originated) as to why they made a change although I sympathise with the problem you face - if you explain all changes you also have to explain the changes made to encourage gold use.
Implementing more feedback would hopefully produce two results - more positive criticism of the game on these forums (why bother putting together a three hundred line suggestion if you believe it's just going to be tossed in the virtual rubbish bin?) and there would be less threads which are basically "OMG why have they nerfed my tank - WG are biased towards Russian tanks".
Now of course if you do give more feedback then you can expect lots of threads complaining that WG aren't responding to their suggestions but on the positive side maybe these will replace the "I don't like arty threads"?
Edit: What I would really like to seem is a version of the Player Suggestions forum which was more active in respect to players and WG responses. Of course the level of moderation would have to be much higher so if you took the "Official Matchmaking Feedback Thread" as an example large number of the posts are basically worthless.
