Pissed off because of "troll platoons...

kotysoft's Photo kotysoft 23 Aug 2012

I'm looking for an acceptable explanation why are Wargaming allows Tier I and Tier II players with a tier VIII - tier X players in platoon.

I just don't understand what is good for them ( tier I players ) in this game?
Why is funny to ruin 12 other players game with that platoon?

I suggest to allow platoons with same "Battle Tier", or max 5 tier difference.

EDIT:
Thinked twice, calmed down,  and removed some lines about 'teamkilling them'

Sure you got banned, and this is right!

There is no excuse for TK!

No, because you violate the rules there i no compensation.
And when you TK too often and get more ban i think they should give you a permanent ban!

Bahh, it happens rarely like somebody already mentioned above, and that tier 1 can sometimes survive longer than some tier 8-s.

Rubbish it happens too often and the idiots think it is funny.  WG should do something about it as TKing, although is a tempting option, frustrates the hell out of the rest of the team and I quite understand why people take matters in their own hands.

From my experience these platoons give you a nice advantage in the top tier. You usually have 1 or 2 more of the highest tier.

There is no disadvantage in having a low tier tank in your team. The matchmaking weighting system means the 14 other tanks will be superior to the enemy's top 14 tanks.

Having said that. There should be a system in place that prevents the obvious xp-leeching that goes on in these situations.

Well, while there is no excuse, the system of penalty/compensation sometimes forces one to retaliate and TK. When I drive low or mid-tier tanks, I do not care much about taking team damage/getting TKed. On higher tiers, this may be a quite expensive situation. When I get shot multiple times or with clear intention in E-50, I will retaliate with all the possible force.

Reasons:
1. When I allow to get TKed, the compensation defintely will not cover the loss.
2. If I survive, I may still try to contribute to the teams effort. The one shooting allies most probably will not.

On the other hand, when a player turns blue, it does not mean I will shoot at him. I have seen many cases of "justified" teamkills - like a light constantly trolling and blocking a heavy or some really nasty provocations. I just pay more attention to the "Blue one", in case he continues in inapropriate behaviour.

having said that, I have never turned blue, neither in battle nor in garage.

What i find even more frustrating is gold noobie platoons (as the t1 +t2 imbalance is usually redressed by MM).

Had one yesterday, 3 types on an encounter battle where there were 6 tier 8s on each side. All three types ran off together to cap leaving the remaining 3 of us t8s to take on the 6 enemy t8s whle they sat motionless in the base being picked off by arty one by one (each shell reseting the counter)

Sure enough the three t8s remaining were soon overrun and destroyed while there were only two of the types remaining (at 30%) after being reduced by arty.

The level of stupidity was staggering as 3 types working in unison can be devistating in attack (rather than sitting motinoless in the base).

Dont know how to fix this problem however as the game cant do anything about mass stupidity :Smile_mellow:

Not from what I have seen, from wht i have seen match maker balances out the enemies team with lower tier tanks at the bottom of the table which would have been 'cannon fodder' any way. Also nearly every match where 'troll' platooning happens the team with the troll platoon loses.

If and i mean IF it gave a team a superior advantage this would be an expolit and should be bannable. Seriously things like a tier 8 platooning with atier 3 has one sole purpose... To ANNOY.

Any way it doesn't happen that often so i suppose it is not realy that big an issue.

Just except that there are people who like to screw with others. Pathetic people like that just get a kick out of annoying people.

Just try to win and move on.

This is just screwing with the game, nothing else.

Tier 1/2 has absolutely nothing to do in tier 8/9/10 games.
Cant damage anything, can't scout or spot, can't out run. Its just some sick kind of humor.

Wg thinks its fine so we can't do anything about it.

Just report them for unfair play and move one. That is the only thing you can do.

Because that's what it is, unfair play, nothing more, nothing less.

Happend to me twice in a row yesterday. Tier 6-8 matches, believe I drove my Jagdtiger 8.8, and in both games a pz2 is on our team. Can't remember if it was the same player. When in the second game I wrote at the start "oh no, not another pz2", he started the insults most of you will probably know. He also got destroyed within about 1 minute.

I can't understand what kind of fun he get's from such a game. You can not damage anything and you get destroyed almost instantly. Total moron.
