So i've been using the SU-152 for a while now and have accumulated 40k exp just wondering if i should research the guns or just go straight for the ISU.

On the ISU tech tree you need both of those guns to get to the BL-10. Advice?

Stick with SU-152 as long as you can as it's one of the best tanks I've ever played. However, I'd advise to use the 152mm derp gun with HE/AP mix so you get used to hiding, long range derping and the incredible inaccuracy of BL-10.

Some folk just use the 152mm derp all the way to the BL10.....Me i got the top 122mm its good if you mid to top tier in battle if you're near the bottom its bounce bounce bounce ...I cant think what the ISU would be like with the derp ....Not for me,.122mm all day

Research all the guns on the SU-152.
I never used them on this tank and it significantly stretches the time you spend grinding on the SU.

But it is worth it!
Grinding them on the ISU will be a real pain, since as a tier 8 TD the ISU will keep burning credits until you get the BL-10.
On the SU you can grind with the 152mm Derp and still make credits.

We don't play the same game... :Smile-hiding:
For me it's the worst tier 7 TD... A slug who miss anything. :Smile-bajan2:

Research guns, the 152,4mm howitzer on JSU-152 is... *shit* :Smile_harp:

My favourite part about SU-152 is that it can 1 shot JgdPanthers at 500m+ :D
And the 86mm HE penetration on the derp gun allows for some close range frontal penetrations. Check one of my topics for a SU-152 replay and you'll see what I mean :D

Edit.: bah, never mind the replays. The geniuses at WG haven't heard of backwards compatibility yet...

See i hated the Jagdpanther. Its a massive TD and sticks out like a sore thumb. Played about 8 rounds in it an sold it.

Think i will research through the SU, its a fun tank, im just impatient

Stick with the SU-152 and research the hell out of everything on it before you move up. I've gone to the 704 but the SU-152 is sitting nicely in my garage, never to be sold. The ISU, by contrast, is painful.

As another poster has already pointed out you can research the same stuff with this and make money rather than burn it.

Now that I've played around 150 games with ISU-152 and SU-152, I have to admit, that SU-152 is more enjoyable than ISU-152. Both TDs have very good cannon for their tier, but SU-152 "machine gun" cannon is really fun to play. Also, it seems that matchmaking with ISU-152 is pretty screwed up, I tend to join T10 battles very often, while with SU-152 I usually play T8 max. battles, T9 very very rarely. This means lots of kills, xp etc.

I'm now 20 000 xp from Obj. 704 and I will sell ISU-152 immediately. ISU-152 BL-10 cannon is very good, but the armor, hp, mobility..I hate it really. So stick with SU-152, keep it in your garage! ISU-152 - not worth it.

It is most boring to play both tanks with same guns (122mm) for the majority of time. Well, I guess the BL-10 makes it worthwhile..

I like the su152....with the derp..it`s only downside is it`s short view range even the su-100 hase a better one 350 as oposed to the 330 of the su152...thich is i dare say it a tier 5 view range...on a tier 7 td

I really like the SU-152 with the "rapid boomstick". Its not that great in tier 9 battles, but below its a lot of fun.
I researched everything on the SU before moving to the JSU/ISU as it will use around 100k exp to get the BL-10 (gun + tracks) with as much as possible already researched. The 152mm derp gun was fun up to tier 8, but a pain in the arse against tier 9 and 10 who you will meet in most battles with the JSU/ISU-152.
