sounds like it favours the countries tanks that dont miss, unless additional aim time is added +you are stationary
funnily enough looks like t34 ww2 footage

lemming-tastic as voted negatively by the morons themselves LOL

My idea is that WG could put these vids ingame, and there would be some payment (e.g. credits) for watching it.
Then new players would have some motivation to learn.

Not taking a page from [SGTA] I see?... I was half thinking this video was something to do with my 'clan' until I saw it. But no matter, it's all the same, although you guys have now made my academy's marketing harder to do.

This video,  while totally educational, does miss the point in guiding new players. As random battles are the ones they really need to work on. TCs and CWs are clan orientated things, and each clan can teach players how to play depending on their tactics.

It's taken them two and a half years. Your community picked up the slack all the way. But you finally did it. You're encouraging your customers to play the game better.

A genuine 'thank-you' from me and, I suspect, from a lot of other people. Well done, WG.

(Wargaming) (...) If you are a beginner wanting to learn how to be a better teammate, you might find it very useful (..)

I am not a beginner, and I learn anyway. Always.
It is not for beginners, it is for all.
And if it sounds as if it is your mother or your wife telling you for the 1.000.000s time "I told you...", so then it is also for you, because we can always forget and we need reminders...

Next video is about no chating, insulting,  and be a backseat driver when dead?

It's a nice idea, if people would watch it. I do see two problems though:

1) Random battles are more frequent for the new players, though I guess Companies can be considered while Clans usually only hire more experienced players.

2) There's still the language problem for in-game communication, though I guess pressing T while targeting an enemy always works (especially with 0.8.0)

Any way, if you have plans for getting people to watch it SERIOUSLY and not just turn it on, go away and then get some money, then this could be a great improvement.

Posted Image  to WG for putting some effort, time and money into general player (customer) education.

Much better than Mr. Victor Kislyi explaining how to play Himmelsdorf with lots of SPG while commanding a Maus in his latest interview.

I am looking forward to see more team markers on the battlefield.

The vid does not seem to work properly :Smile_sad:

Anyway, it would be nice if they explained things like the spotting system and such thoroughly to new players. It took me thousands of battles to realise I could stay invisible even with zero camo by abusing my view range or spotting done by allies.

I like it so far...nothing really new to me. Keep it coming.

And to spread those videos around the player base. How about a sentence in the loading screen of a battle like "If you want to improve your tank tactics, check out the tank academy videos on the Website" or sth like that.

There is actually a good lesson there for the randoms - and I dont mean platoons only. If you see a good player in a higher/equalt tier, swallow ur pride, use him as  a "captain" & follow him round instead of charging in.

....still amazes me how people will shoot a tiger  in the face with a tier 4 gun & theres a fat, juicy T-28 right behind it :/

all in all ok, just two comments on it.
how often do you see these mass fights where you can chose a target out of a dozen?
many many times you have to shoot one that is showing a tip of his suspension behind a rock while the others keep hiding.
and that leads to my second comment. as long as you reward individual performance more than team success in random battles you will continue to see a lack of teamplay because sometimes teamplay means doing unrewarding tasks or even taking a shot/sacrificing yourself for the more dangerous tank in your team. no matter how many lessons you are trying to teach in your academy.

With this video comes the perfect opportunity to throw a gold discount on crew training at the " academy "

Like keeping Arty alive, slowing down an advance and end up dead so that your team can win the cap, reseting the cap with a tier III SPG working as a TD against a bunch of tier V heavys when no bugger will know on your team what happened and will then post "...they killed that noob SPG"

How many time have we seen "epic" videos where all the player is really expert at is cleaning up crippled enemy tanks for a high kill count and not actually supporting the team,

I am a bit confused. Do people who made this video actually play random battles?
When has there been a situation like those shown in the video, where two armies charge each other?

The reason why no one uses Focus Fire tactic is because there is no need for it. Most of the time you only have one, two, perhaps three targets to shoot. Hardly a difficult decision to make. Other times it's pretty much a one on one duel or an arty campfest.

Any massed charge will quickly ground to a halt the moment they see the first medium tank, and will soon be picked off by arty as the huddle up and play peek-a-boo. Assuming their base hasn't been capped by then.

In my opinion, this video is useless at best and will only confuse the new players into charging the enemy, hoping others will follow.

Besides, as already mentioned before, there is absolutely no reward for playing as a team. Killing lots of enemies by yourself earns you a lot more money and exp.

I've always been telling people to focus fire... I do it with clan-, platoonmembers. You take out the enemy threat in less time than it would take you one on one.

I think its a great video. I already know the stuff, but for other people, it just might improve their gameplay. And that's always good.
