As the title says, what equipment and crew skills do you use with this little bugger? Also, any insight into a successful playstyle with it would be much appreciated.

just remember, its not a good fighting tank, so you dont need to build in stuff which improves combat, due to you wont spend much time fighting.

Id go for camo and spotting to fit the role of a proper scout.

I'm using it as supporting scout, with scouting at the begining to see where everyone is going, then back behind 1st line and snipe + sometimes 1 shot flanking jobs. Whatever you do, dont ramm into anyone. Went for vent, rammer and camo (will replace camo with GLD when money alows), and camo and smooth ride as skills. Havent thought about second skill, as first is around 91%.
PS, ELC platoon is a lot of fun, can get everywhere and confuse everyone, giving the team some cheap shots while the enemy is distracted.

for the equipment i have Vents and rammer fixed and i am switching between Optics and EGLD.
atm i am leaning more towards the Optics as i am a fan of scouting and can live with the longer aiming time.
actually i am rarely sitting in the bush and really aiming, i am more driving around/active scouting and doing "drive by's", shooting so late that the gun cant miss (still manages sometimes, even though i am really close)

as crew skills i have the signal boosting, as i think the additional 72m radio range come in handy (a little more with the Vents..) and i have the off-road-driving skills for the driver now.
i had smooth ride for the driver before, but i think the ELC is so inaccurate on the move, that i try to "deliver" the shell myself anyways.. :Smile_Default:

edit: tactic wise i drive this little french like already mentioned as a bugger for the enemy team.
its fast enough to get away with active scouting, just keep it closer to your own front line because of the limited radio range (so no arty runs :)).
else i scout for our heavys, make the enemy either turn for me, so our guys can hit them, or if they dont i might hit them myself on my way back.
judging my IpG rating (insults per Game), it is as effective as my other scouts   (read: lots of fun)

I use rammer and vents with optics now. Can't be sure if GLD would be better than optics, might try it out.

Currently crew is working on sixth sense and off-road driving. What should be my 2nd crew skill?

Options are: 2 times camo, 2 times BiA, or something nice for the driver (smooth ride or clutch braking) and something else for the commander (camo or recon).

What to choose next?

I rarely play pure scout, my aim is to deal a lot of damage (and confusion) to the enemy team.

The amazing ELC is my favourite tank at the moment.

Equipment: Vents, Rammer, Coated Optics
Skills:
- Commander (111%): BIA, Camo, Signal Boosting (at 85% now)
- Driver (121%): BIA, Camo, Clutch Braking (at 85% now)

Strategy: ELC is very adaptable. Move around a lot, snipe, scout, support, distract. You can do almost everything and damage or destroy almost everyone.

Might be heresy, but I went for a dual-purpose active-scout/infiltrating TD

Packing coated optics, a gld and ventilation, first perk being 6th sense/smooth ride, now camo, later bia.

The rationale behind those is:

I replaced the rammer with coated optic because it is very, very rare, that the ELC doesn't just drive away following a shot. That usually takes longer than 11 seconds at any rate, therefore it seemed a reasonable tradeoff for an improvement in visual range. The GLD and and smooth ride are there obviously to minimize the time between stopping and firing accurately, not to mention joust-fire. 6th sense I have found to be -essential- on most tanks I own. It grants considerably earlier warning than just looking at what the enemy's gun is pointed at.

I usually play battles dividing them into two stages - the usual opening scouting and then a combat phase during which I interchangeably bypass enemy positions or retire behind friendly ones. And I'm perfectly fine with having no frags in a victorious battle. Despite the ELC being the easiest machine one can do an Orlik medal.

equipment: rammer, binocs, camo net.
current skills:
commander - sixth sense, camo
driver - clutch braking, camo

after camo pops 110%, gonna change it for off-road driving and maybe eagle eye(for fun :D) and camo again then.

obligatory skills for elc =  sixth sense, camo

Sixth sense is BEST skill ever when enemy can oneshot you. If you see lamp popping up: Run forest run. Camo has really good effect because its always on. Everything else is just minor improvement.

How to use ELC:

Do scout run first, dont die. Then stuka attacks to enemies which are engaged. After 3-4 mins go for their arty. Collect victory.

Your poll is wrong, since you limit crew skills to only 2.
My ELC has 6 skills/perks, so I can't answer your poll.

Eq: vents, optics, GLD:
Commander: 6th sense, singal boosting (20% increased radio range is mandatory for 400 base value IMHO), camo
Driver: off-road, clutch braking, camo.

Equipment: rammer, vents, GLD

Skills: 6th sense, off road driving, camo, clutch braking and lastly repairs
