In my ongoing series about the quirks of the reward system, here's another favourite of mine.

Do you remember all the rage about when "rage quitters" could exit the battle immediately, denying the enemy a kill? This mechanic has been improved in 0.8.0 - now you can rage quit for free!

Imagine this: You load into battle after the patch, your trusty e-peen measurement tool XVM tells you that your team's e-peen is only 5% the size of the enemy team's respective anatomy.  Not one to take your chances with your team you decide to exploit one of the obvious shortcomings of Belorussian game design. You drive into the nearest lake and drown your worthless crew!

"But my beautiful tank!", you might think. Don't worry, it won't lose a single hitpoint:

While you're off to drown another tank, the rest of your 5% team - rid of your negative presence - actually manages to pull off a win. You're pleased about that, since not only did you not have to pay for repairs except for some modules that were not water proof - no, you also receive a reward for your team's efforts and make a nice profit:

Hell yeah!

Oh, and if you'll regularly see my tank driving off the Serene Coast, that's just because I'm deeply interested in the marine life there!

drowned tanks shouldn't pay full repair cost because they are not destroyed: it happened to me a couple of times, when they killed my whole crew, but the tank still had something like 30% hp. i was dead, but the tank wasn't destroyed.

Also they should get new ammo. All rounds should be destroyed :Smile_veryhappy:
That would discourage suicides. Okay, maybe bit extreme with current ammo costs on high tier tanks.

Dafuq? Thats just lame. WG needs to sort a lot of things out before the patch.
edit; +1 for pointing it out, you have a knack for finding these 'oddities' in the game Snib? or did you make it your job :Smile_blinky:

This is a different thing completely. If you quit battle your tank exploded, making you pay full repairs. The only reason to do it was to make your enemy angry, and possibly jump up and down, swearing and calling his mother because someone denied him a top gun achievement.

Same thing really. You'll see tanks drive off cliffs or drown themselves next patch for exactly the same reason.

Uhh, we will see a whole new kind of lemming trains. Also known as the lemming bot train, which races to the nearest water patch.

Right now you explained this is to make a profit in a battle you do not like. With the old system your tank exploded, so you denied a kill instantly even 1 second before the enemy completes reloading. You still paid the full cost of repairs.

This is a problematic case. I guess that drowning shouldmean destruction of the tank as well.
