Well to be honest I wasn't impressed with it when I bought it. But now, when my crew got up in skill, I am finally able to pull 400-500xp battles one after another (noprem). Vents + rammer + vert stab, so it was costly to turn it into a killing machine, thank god for the special.

Happened to me about 4 times in a row in one battle, and then about 3 times in another battle.
I think that although VK3601H armor is only 100mm, it is also slightly sloped. So, effective armor is definetely higher (not sure how much higher).

Anyways, played it a bit today, D10T penetrates it frontally with almost 100% prob, so no issues there :Smile-playing: .

Tested my Zis-4 on the T-34-57 on a Tiger(H) 90 deg frontal on the upper front plate (plate with machine gun and view port). I dinged on both the view port and the machine gun, but penetrated in-between.. doesn't make sense but anyways. 3 out of 4 dings...  Would think the 85 should do a lot better... but..

(yes I know that I should have aimed for the lower front plate but..)

I have about 250 battles with the T34-85
47% win ratio
In the last 2 weeks I lost a lot of T34-85 battles, but I didn´t change anything.
For a med tank it´s too slow and too clumsy, no chance against other tanks in one by one fights.

Any ideas ?

Using a med only as a sniper is not my way of playing.

Is the T43 much better ?

hmm, if you don't like T-34-85 I fear you won't like T-43 as well, cause it's quite similar to T-34-85.

I tried the 85mm but it's just not for me, maybe if it had aiming time 2seconds or less but otherwise 100mm all the way.
With body armor so weak i prefer higher alpha guns. You pop out, hit and then hide. 175 pen for a medium at tier6 is a very good value so take advantage of it.

All I can do is to fully agree.
175 of average penetration and quite nice damage is OK for a price of low ROF and long aiming time.

I like this tank very much after aiming it with 100mm gun.
