Just another large discussion thread on what nations I/You think will appear in WoPs and WoB's first off.

Heres a list of what I think will appear in both games and reasons, likelyhood of appearing and what I think they will be like.

Note, I may be wrong with some of this info, or these nations may not appear. Its just a guess whenever or not they will appear in both games. All the vessels/planes though are real though.

World of Planes:

Britain:
You can''t count out the RAF anyday. The Brits had amazing and iconic Aircraft which easily raises their chances of appearing as one of the first nations in the game.
Spitfire
Hurricane
Typhoon
Mosquito

Germany: The Germans had good planes initally before becoming heavily armed. The BF-109 and the Fw-190 will likely appear here.
German Planes will proberly have high damage guns, like the Russian Tanks in WoT. Especilly at later Tiers as they became Bomber-Killers.

USA: Very good aircraft that will proberly be similar to the Brits in terms of capabiliies, they had good fighters such as the P-49 Thunderbolt, Hellcat, Wildcat, Cousir and of Course, the P-51 Mustang.

Japan: Very ambitious aircraft, I reckeon they will be lightly armoured. The Zero will obviously appear.

Russia: Not sure if USSR will appear, they did have effective planes, such as the Yaks, then they had the P-39 Airacobras from the USA.

World of Battleships

USA: Very effective fleets, the Americans will likely have a lot of carriers in-game. But also have iconic Battleships such as the Iowa class.

Britain: Also very effective navy, proberly will have more Battleships in-game. They will likely have the Town Class Cruisers (HMS Belfast) and ships like the HMS Hood, Repulse and Prince of Wales etc.

Germany: Not so sure, Germany didn have many surface ships with dedication towards U-Boats, unless Subs will massively appear in game, not sure what Germany will make up. They did have large battleships such as the Bismarck and Triptiz.

Japan: Mixed navy, I don't know much about the Jap navy, but they did have some of the most ambitious warships and submarines.
Such as the largest battleships, such as teh Yamato, the largest carrier, and Submarine aircraft Carriers, such as the I-400 (it is true).

Like I said, I may be wrong with some of this, and these nations may not appear, but this is what I think will appear.

Feel free to put your opinions on what nation may appear ingame.

Please mention other nations.

Post has nothing to do with WoT gameplay. Moved to off-topic.

As far as I know they will start with the same nations as in WoT, e.g. USSR, USA and Germany (although in WoWP you cannot leave out the RAF and Japs :P )

Yeah well... for a fact, the initial tech trees are USA, Germany and USSR. No Brits, although the Spitfire was one of the most important planes of the war. :(

you mean the Hawker Hurricane
the most iconic, yes, it was the Supermarine Spitfire

it was the Hurricane who won the Battle for Britain, not the Spitfire

Britain has to be in WoB for release, they are in the trailers and everything, Britian was a major sea power with a powerful mostly modern battlefleet

I hope they have
King George V Class
Nelson Class
Revenge Class
Queen Elizabeth Class
if they don't  :arta:

some carriers would be nice to

and HMS Warspite as a premium ship, the most decorated ship ever to have been in the RN, with two world wars service

also for WoWp (which I probably won't bother playing)

Brits need to be in that too
Hurricane
Spitfire
Typhoon
Tempest
Meteor
not forgetting the Mosquito

the only reason the Mustang was a good plane in the first place is because the Brits stuck a Merlin in it, otherwise it would have been confined to the dustbin of history (gotta love that term, dustbin of history :Smile_trollface-3:)
premium could be sea fury, if there is a sea fury I will get the game (it is a variant of the tempest)

WOWP will begin off in open beta with the nations, USA, Germany, USSR and Japan. First tech tree to be added will be Great Britain/United Kingdom.

WOWS (World of Warships - name got changed) will begin off with (Due to screenshots) UK, Germany and Japan. Other likely initial nations are the US and USSR.

Agreed:
You can add the Town Class Cruisers in there too. They were great Light Cruisers (if WG puts in Cruisers)

I was going to mention that, but ended up re-typing it up and not bothering mentioning it.

I'm quite surprised by that. USA and Japan obviously had to be in, though I surprised on UK and Germany.

Sure, germany had not many surface based vessels... :Smile_veryhappy::Smile_veryhappy::Smile_veryhappy::Smile_veryhappy::Smile_veryhappy:

Google Bismarck and Graf Spee and educate yourself :Smile_sceptic:

WG pretty much has to put the Town and County class cruisers in there...along with about 15 other classes of British ships. But alas, they probably won't even put them in at the start. Soviet revisionist history.

The war went past 1940. Which one was in production in 1945? Wasn't the Hurricane. Not disputing it should be in WOWP but as a lower tier plane. The Spitfire could feature in pretty much all tiers in its different versions, only being really eclipsed by the Tempest and Seafury; Seafury and SeaHornet I imagine will be the very top tier aircraft.

true.

but would it have without the hurricane?

(bear in mind the spits were mixing it with the ME 109's and 110's and the hurricane pilots shot down about 70%-80% of the He 111's and dorniers)

I'm not sure that a nations whose naval capacity can be summed up in less than a paragraph should really be in a naval combat game
USSR Navy
3 aged battleships
7 cruisers
59 destroyers
218 submarines
269 torpedo boats
22 patrol vessels
88 minesweepers
77 submarine-hunters

On the other hand..
(red ships were those lost)

first of all the WoWP will have usa, germany, ussr and japan these are confirmed. however they will probally make more lines for these nations aswell as adding the british and maybe french/mixed european.
fact of the matter is it will be a long time before it looks anything like WoT.

and as for WoB:

usa - this will consist of everything eventually leading to the fast destroyers and massive battleships supported by fleet carriers
ussr - consisting of aged battleships with alot of speed/torpedo boats with submarines to support
britain - much like the usa but with older battleships
japan - now this will be the same as the usa except the japanese favored offensive over defensive which will make them exetremely dangerous
germany - i have no idea how this will look they had some pretty good ships, don't forget they went toe-to-toe with the british navy at jutland (some say slight victory for germany) it would be interesting to see if they would implement blueprint ships and those who have been scrapped or only laid down

same as for WoWP except this is even further out so speculations and wild theories will be interesting XD

And it was DC-3 Dakota who won the entire war. Or at least contributed the most out of all planes. Alas it won't be in game. :Smile_sad:

how?
much like?
older?

Britain was quite modern, Naval treaties made them scrap a lot of older battleships in the 20's, and even those that survived were extensively refitted and modernized as the war progressed

the USSR only really had MTB's and destroyers, they only had 3 battleships in total apart from lend lease

that was in WW1 and then at the end of the war the German fleet scuttled itself so none of those ships will appear in this game

all of Germany's ships were modern as they only started building them in 1933
