Royal Engineers....Centurians firing dustbins down range at Lulworth, driver training at Bovi with a huge roof over their heads (bridgelayer), and a very rapid method of clearing minefields in Canada with the wonderful giant viper. Great lads...pity they look like tramps  :teethhappy:

greetings mr challenger,i served with the 14/20th kings hussars from 82 to 91 ,and i agree with your comments about the smells, all i have to do is go to the back end of a bus and its just like being on the tank park,  instant flashback, and its always to bergen hohne for some reason.1 of the postings i remember very fondly,is to ATDU in bovington in 84 we were trialsing the challenger1 with a 6 speed crash gearbox for the 1st time and i had 6 months of just driving around the area, can still smile when i remember those days ..1 of the tanks that they were trialsing at that time was a leopard 2 chassie with a vickers turret on and let me tell you over a 1 mile time trial it beat us in the challenger 1 by a quarter mile ,love to know what happend to that idea brill piece of kit..i love this game waited 25 years for a realistic simmulation, or as near as you can get at this time ,fantastic game mate, will post some pictures at some stagekeep up the good work mate

Hi Tricky, I am ex-2RTR. Was at ATDU from 80 to 82, so we just missed each other! At that time didn't the 14/20th take over from the 16/5th at Bovi? Was the centurian bridgelayer (without the bridge part) still there in your time? I went back earlier this year during Tankfest to take a look at the old place. There is now a carpark opposite the entrance. Did you lot also give the civvie gate guard grief?
