I wish I could see what requires what, not just on the 43, but on all the tanks. Any help is appreciated:

I just got into the 43, I don't want to bother going for elite, but I wonder if the upgraded tracks are required to carry the weight of the upgrades for the engine and/or turret.

I strongly recommand you upgrade trax/engine because the main strength of the T43 is that it's performances are really better than the 34-85 and nearly approach the T44's one. DO never neglect tracks or engine upgrade for medium tanks, that's a matter of life and death for a T43.

iNoob - do you know if I can upgrade the engine first? Or do I have to upgrade the tracks?

track turret u should already have the guns ready from the 34-85 so with the beter guns u will get the engine in notime...

i think it can be upguned without changing the suspension. but you're gonna need to buy it anyway to get the new turret and the better guns.

^^ sadly wrong you need suspension to get new gun sadly just as i found out:(

Suspension>Turret>Engine or Gun (I researched both guns while I was in T-34-85).

Saran, I didn't upgrade the 34/85 that much, so I'll have to research all that on the way to the 44. I'd read (and after playing the 43, I agree) that the 34/85 isn't worth taking the time to play too much. The 43 is so much stronger, even as a stock tank.

You sure it's always? I was pretty sure there were a couple I didn't have to up the suspension first in order to mount a new gun.

Suspension first on pretty much every tank, stock tracks turn and accel horribly.

I honestly wouldn't bother with the engine - I did, and it was wasted 17k xp, I noticed no difference whatsoever.

I just unlocked every upgrade of the t43, it's much more fun to grind to the t44 that way. Fully upgraded your t43 will be a real beast that can match with tigers etc

I've been wondering about that engine also. It does cost quite a lot and there's only 40 hp more and reduced chance of fire. 40 hp in a tank this size should as such make that much difference, but I would love to hear from other players too how they have found this engine. Btw, can the improved engine be used in T-44?

T-44 starts with the upgraded engine (upgraded T-43 engine = stock T-44 engine).

Honestly, I did, and I regretted it. T-43 can't maneuver like a T-44 even with top engine, it bleeds too much speed on turns. This was with a 100% crew, btw.

Anyway, as a final answer, if you don't already have the better 85mm from the 34-85 (which you really should do imho), the upgrade path would be something like this:

Tracks > Turret > upgraded 85mm > 100mm > T-44

You may or may not like the 100mm on the T-43, I found the rate of fire to be a killer, the T-44 just has that little extra that makes it a viable brawling gun.

Is the increased suspension load capacity add-on worth it in T-43? Gun rammer is a must for the D10T gun and I've been using the periscope for additional view range while stationary (as camping is so rare nowadays ) I've been wondering about the last slot for add-on. Whether to get the load capacity increase or increased aiming speed...

Many of my best matches are when I'm in my T-43.

Suspension, Turret, you should already have the 85mm or 100D10T ( I recommend the 85mm), Engine.
