I'm still laughing at a 34 year old watching this type of stuff.  :Smile_veryhappy:

I'm 27 and i'm anime fan so what? Most of good animes are far better than hollywood 'blockbusters'. Just take a look at Ghost in the shell, Ergo proxy, Death note, Cowboy bebop, black lagoon etc.

Adults watch Big Brother and Jerry Springer too... I bet this stuff is about 100x better quality than that garbage.

All haters connect all anime to some sort of catoons or even worse Naruto. They see anime so automatically we are narutards, but they forget that alot of US series or movies were actually inspired by them (Disney). Or like they are only for children. Ghost in the Shell, Satoshi Kon movies, GONZO studio animes and last but not least one of the best war movies up to date Grave of the fireflies + many others are by far nothing for kids :)

I will start looking .........  I mean study the series to see what is happening in our world, I might look at it when I wake up or go to sleep in the following days. It will be last on the priority list so I doubt I will watch it at all.

I really, really, really hope they will put KV-2 in this series. Or Ratte. These are two most anime-suitable tanks ever XD

P.S. My fiancee likes this anime. Shit. Forever in brainfuck.

38 years old and enjoying several anime movies/series. Some have way better stories than the constant shitstream coming out of Hollywood.

Agreed, Anime like Death Note or Code Geass have amazing stories that rival high quality series. The only difference is that it happens in drawn animation style.

All the way THIS.
"Anime" is at least as complex as every other genre of film. I would say even more complex.
"Anime sucks!" is like saying "TV sucks!", only because you don't like Jackass, Jersey Shore (?), "Schwiegertochter gesucht" or "Wetten, dass?". And if people hate anime just because it is drawn... well... no comment.

For me, GOOD anime is pure art... and a little opium. Just... lean back and dive into it.
Just take stuff like Ghost in the Shell (btw: My PzIV-Tachikoma-hybrid-avatar will come soon...  :Smile_blinky:), Grave of the Fireflies ("The last Fireflies" in German), Jin-Roh, Texhnolyze, Last Exile, Mushishi and ofc all the Hayao Miyazaki stuff - my all time favorites. For god's sake - even Golden Boy and some ecchis/hentais. :D

It's totally batshit mental

In other words, Japanese. Not that I'm hating on them, but some of these things you just have to remark afterwards, "what the f*** did I just watch?" or "who the f*** comes up with all this?"

True... the Japanese may seem to be very closed up and polite in public, but on the other side they are very open minded and "crazy". And that's one thing I find very fascinating...

And that has become a kind of (funny) stereotype: If something - esp. when drawn/"animelike" - is strange, weird and/or nasty, it must be Japanese.
Just take the musicvideo of "DyE - fantasy" (music and video are awesome... just btw) and count the guys who say "Omg, Japan!", "Weird Japanese people!", "OMG... obviously Japanese!", ...
It's actually pretty funny - because it's French. Even if it is as weird as the weird stuff that really is Japanese. ;)

Dunno bout Ratte, but there for sure gonna be Soviet vehicles and also Tigers. Think I saw also a Pershing in the last episode preview.

lol
friend of mine showed me a pic yesterday i remember it being on this forum already quite some time ago
this time i hit wiki just for lolz

The story will focus around high school girls battling in tanks.[3] The setting involves a universe where the art of operating tanks (戦車道 Sensha-dō?) is a traditional martial art for girls

PS: Jigabachi
GITS is made of win was totally blown away back then when they made the render intro instead of the drawn one (only thing remotly similar was FF movie)
loved the music even tough its russian

and some more anime drivel from me
Death Note was awesome the first half until they killed hte main antagonist/protagonist  still not sure which one we should be rooting for afterwards 7 years old play sherlokc holmes .. TOTALLY LAME
what i liked in DN was that a seemingly simple conversations were more intense then some crazy action sences

Code Geass is prolly my all time favorite because ofn the character alone twisted unpredictable unparralleled
