Ohh..... And developers, when you DO implement the M41, then try to find the stats for the APFSDS shot, used by the danish army in the last period of operating M41 DK1. Called "super-panser" (super-armour, for super armour piercing), it was quite a thing. And boy, did it give a doomsday ROAAARRR when fired, with accompanying blast !  Quite something to experience, especially at close quarters, or in the tank itself....

Ahh.... Those were the days.....

I wonder if it will get a gun better than the 76mm it had IRL, 90mm maybe?

The M24 chaffee has the 76mm gun the M41 used

I believe its possible, M41 is not so light of weight, so bigger cannon like 90mm is interesting option. In that way M41 will be good alternative to AMX-13/90

There was a prototype M41 with what looks like the Historical 90mm Patton gun in a modified turret
T49 light tank

Yeah, read about that but the turret became so crampy that It was... well too crampy  :Smile_great:

But I think they're going to implent M41 almost for certain. There's no way that devs woulnd't implent propably best designed light tank to game. + It's in the timeline (fought in Korean war) so it's damn better be in this game.

And I think it IS in full tree even.

No, it isnt in full tree. But should be, most US lights are slow (as a scouts), only M3 have good speed - 61 km/h. 5 tier light, Chaffee is the slowest scout in tier. In my opinion US tree need tier 6 light with high speed, just like rusians have T-50-2 (and more scouts with 72 km/h speed).

Walker is famous tank of Korea War Era, like Sherman in WWII, devs must add him (but as default tank, not premium for God sake  )

M41 SPH was in Korea, M41 light tanks was not. M24 Chaffee was (and got it's ass handled). Check your sources.

http://historywarswe...walker-bulldog/, in one of my books (i dont know what is english title, something like "the biggest military mistakes in history") its writed that M41 light tanks were used in 1953 in battlefield against T-34-85 (North Korea). I dont know they win or not, but they fight. In earlier post I write wrong, I dont mean its famous tank in conflict, I mean period, Korean War Era and Indochina War (1951-1955).

Real sources, not some interned crap.
Hunnicutt (and he knew a thing or two about US tanks) say it saw no combat in Korea, so only sources that can counter that are archives.

Again it was not in Indochina until 1960 or 1961.

Again it was not in Indochina until 1960 or 1961.

A period, not conflict. Timescale of game, from Interwar to Korea War Era (and later 50s because M103, T110, Type 59)

Books that use primary sources (archives) and quote them.
Hunnicutt, Spielberger, Jentz, Kolomiets, Baryatansky.
Other that can be used but have to be double checked are those that take from 1st ones:
Zaloga, Svirin etc.

Bojan, AFIK, the M41 did not see service in the Korean war..
But the T41 Pilot tank saw limited service during the war, but on the basis of testing grounds rather than actual combat.

From everywhere i can find, the M41 was named after General Walker who died in a jeep accident during the Korean war.

No it doesn't. The T94 76mm uses a much lower velocity round with a shorter barrel then the 76mm M32 (792m/s vs 975ft/s). Expect penetration to be ~160mm for the M32, and the APCR should be roughly able to deal with the T-54/55 from the front at close range (<500m, turret hits), if I remember my Nam lore well enough.

That lil bugger looks amazing, would love to see it in the game IF they don't add a fugly turret like the Chaffee has (I mean, we all agree that stock Chaffee is pretty but the duplo box turret? eew)

They should really consider giving this tank another look, I would love to see tier 6 light tanks implemented as the french tanks have complicated life as a tier 5 scout.

Make it play like a Chaffee on Steroids, higher view range, higher penetration, better top speed, still 0 armor. Would propably be OP, but I can dream right :)
