It's cool because there is lots of stuff people can learn from. The "right of way" thing is a really simply thing that can be frustrating.  It can make or break a dash for middle on Mines for example.

"Loser collumn" haha!  :Smile_veryhappy:  "Lemming Train!"

Really great videos this Tank academy ones. I watched what i could find on you tube about wot game play technique and tactic, but tank academys are far the best. And where did you find that guy with that voice .. its almost like the guy that makes voice for hollywood trailers :)

Once again .. Great stuff.

loosers column? you do know that napoleons infantry marched in columns, dont you? next time, say lemming train, please, also, with so many new vehicles(which is not bad),and the moderate tier spread,+ the random factor of battles, it is absolutely impossible to group tanks this good, sure you might put 44 and a 54 or a 43 together, but real, cohesive groups in random battles are just impossible

If you reference Napoleon, you should think about how a (Belo)Russion will judge his mitlitary tactics ;)
(funny though that they ask you to avoid clomoumns and to drive in a single file at the same time)

regarding the video:
Right of way for lights? They are the one who can easily navigate around everyone, aren't they? It a t95 stops for an elc, he just increases the chance that he will be spotted close to spawn and far away from arty cover. (fully agree however on arty. and most especially on "dont drive into line of fire")

I loled at the "don't drive into team mates" thing XD, i guess that gives a hint as to who this vid is intented for. I bet they had some fun re-enacting bad driving on ensk. (dem train tracks)
The video talks at great length about staying in formation and going round corners and such with good timing, then at the end "oh by the way don't do this because Artillery will nuke groups"...

Yeah the whole "setting up groups" thing in a 15 minute battle? i'm sure the opposition are just cheerfully sitting back and letting your team organise itself into neat organised groups by vehicle type.

Advice 1: look at team and try and think who is going to go where? In a random?
The TD will scout while the t-50 defends base
call out your destination? ie 15 people spamming att to att to
turned off at that point couldnt take more of the weird voice or BS

I like the tank academy alot. :Smile_great:

During my career I have meet various commanders which showed a limited amount of game play understanding.
Suprisingly many of them were high tier commanders.
You are using high tier vehicles only during tank academy sessions.

Do you consider to use mid tier vehicles in future sessions?
I'm asking, because this at this level of game play the knowledge will be needed most and identification with what is shown in tank academy will be very important.
Moreover the same rules apply for all tiers, don't they?

How on earth is this level of coordination supposed to be achieved in randoms? It's really good advice you are giving here WG.

I play scout a lot, and I can tell you that he is right, scout should go first, because sometime its just mater of 1 sec between spotting whole enemy team(which makes victory for ur team easier) and being dead before you spot anyone. For T95 it takes 1 min to go to cover, so 1 min and 1min +1 second won't make much difference :Smile_veryhappy:

They say 'Keep in mind positions of enemy SPGs ', meaning you should be careful when you go around corners where arty can shoot you. Ppl who play arty know those spots.

Well very easy with good players(that's whats XVM used for), they wouldn't be good if they could not coordinate :Smile_glasses:

Very good series. However I would like, that they would make it more clear that some things are useful and practical also in randoms and some things work mostly only in organized environments like clan wars and company battles, where you actually can coordinate your stuff. Also there where you swap positions with a team mate and use your tank to shield him, you give way too much side armor for enemies to shoot at. In some cases there the shielding tank is almost fully sideways.

Napoleons army may have marched in columns as the best way to utilise the road system but the fought in line formation to maximise firepower and block or square formation when defending against flanking cavalry or dragoons.  They trained to quickly change from one to the other.

yes one massive attack column to break the enemy line (in this time only 3-4 ranks deep) - but not a "single file lemming loosers coulmn" ...
