Now, I know enough of programming, I used to be a coder wannabe, know some actionscript, javascript, BASIC and stuff, but I really cannot come to realize HOW they use 170 MEGABYTES to manage the input of X, Y and 2 goddamn buttons on a touchpad.
Did they put a movie inside there?
A collection of nice pictures?
I can't find anything about it, it's just a DRIVER.

Is there anybody with more fantasy than me that can tell me WHAT THE HECK IS INSIDE THIS PACKAGE?

And yes, this is OFFICIAL from Samsung Update, straight from their website, no way there's some virus or shit.

There's lots of data and schemes in order to detect different finger motions, to make the difference between fingers and palms, etc. There's lots of things that are useless in that thing, but it's only because your manufacturer restricts them. Because it's probably a generc Synaptics driver with specificities added by Samsung.

Original one is 55MB.

What's that 100MB more?

This is crazy...

I don't know, but maybe you should ask Samsung.

Seriously? I get a -1 for saying that you should ask that to the only people who actually know what's inside that thing?  :Smile_mellow:

Maybe I'm wrong but I expect no answer to such a question.
The problem is, the more memory we have, the more they start use for stupid purposes.
This is why I want to know what is inside this package.
Guys, 150MB are almost 1/6 of GIGABYTE!
Why should I waste so much space for a damn driver that can stay in 10MB?

Yep , same with processing power .
Gain 100 times power and then the OS 'has to have' transparrent windows etc .

It's the 'spesh' factor
