Since there are quite a few complaints about "technical defeats" and since i have seen at least one (haven´t looked into it further) case of a technical defeat because the team was actually NOT ready, but just in lobby, i thought i could just post a screenshot and some instructions on how to put a team up in special battles as info.

I hope this helps and prevents future problems with technical defeats.

In the following screenshot you see a pop up from a special battle with some red markings:

-  the lobby (bottom)
- the "team room" (upper box)
- the arrows used for switching up/down (usability depends on ranks in CW and i guess only captain can switch in tournaments ... but i am not sure. greyed out: you can´t, if not you can ;) )

So, in order to get your team ready for the match you need to first get your team and substitutes into the lobby. Easily done by joining the special battle. After that you need to decide on who will play and put the actual players up into the upper "team box" by clicking first them and then the up arrow. Finally the players in the upper "team box" need to pick tanks (they can do it in the lower one as well, just need to have them picked and clicked ready in the end) and click "ready" to appear green.

Now, all green players (ready ones) in the upper "team box" will be put into the match as soon as the timer runs out. Lobby stays where they are - they will NOT be in the match.
If the upper box is empty, the match will be counted as technical defeat for the team not having players in it.

Edit:  some more useful info :)

- upper right corner of special battle -- players 14/14 :  starts with 0/14 -  first one is number of actual players in team, second one is the maximum number of players.
- upper right corner of special battle -- level:14 :   starts with level: 0  - the level are the accumulated tier levels of all tanks in the upper team box (important in matches with tier point limits)
- upper right corner of special battle -- battles/win :    first number is the maximum number of battles (1, 3 in bo3, 5 in bo5), second number is the amount of wins needed to instantly win (2 in bo3, 3 in bo5)

Here is the pic:

Hope this helps :)

Have fun in future or running tournaments - they usually work out better than the current t1 fun cup ;)

Btw ... not the best graphical work you have seen ... but i created it inbetween ESL matches ... so bear with me ;)  If someone needs more info - just contact me in game. If i am around and have time i will answer to your questions. If i don´t ... try again later. Being online doesn´t guarantee i am sitting in front of my pc and i might be busy with other stuff as well :)

Yes. Have enough gold and for long range shots it might do the trick ;)  In important matches i will even have only gold shells.

In 7on7 gold shells in the T1 are important, since you could penetrate a higher tier tanks to reset the cap what you might not be able to do with normal ap.

Can't say, what makes me hurt more: the misarranged arrows (well, at least not obvious in a certain state of mind during a competition) or the fact, that my other twelve teammates didn't notice it

Big facepalm and now... ehm, I have to go *running*

Happens :)

We are used to it from tons of CW matches and many previous tournaments. Just hope that teams new to the system and the game see this before they start. It just destroys the fun for both teams if these things happen.

Nice introduction, if it would work. My team and me wants to start on 3v3 fun cup today. we was all in the lobby, pushed the ready button, but couldnt come to the upper room. so the time run down and we become an technical draw. then i call it to an admin and all he answered, was : "looks like you have a draw" . FUNNY

Thanks for the great support for player they are played since closed beta of WOT.

You also need to press the up-arrow button while having a player selected, to move the player to the team.
