Imo its an excellent platform to play the  " oportunistic vulture " role ... Only tank I cant pen , ofc when flanking it even , is KV-1 . The gun is nice , depression is excellent , mobility is pretty nice too ..... So far I have 10/10 in my games in Covenanter and 751 xp ( tho with prem I must say )

I compare shit tanks to shit tanks.
And Lee was most crap tank ever. Till now.

Compare the trees fairly. M5 = A13 Cov. and M3 Lee = Matilda.  That is what you should be comparing.

I feel I'm going to like her.

Ok first off I had one game where I was about mid tier, stock and a 50% crew.

But the speed is OK, with a decent engine in the back she'll shift like stink. She corners well enough, And the gun is OK. What I'd like to bring to everyone's attention is the Gun depression. I was nearly able to shoot my own tracks off! Admittedly she has about the same armour as a Vickers medium, but I'm used to driving a Chaffee.

Did find one important point out, when stock you can't circle a Matilda!

I believe he means how dire the tank is - ie the M3 Lee being widely regarded as utterly horrific.
I would rather lick a tramps balls than drive one again.
However I would take an M3 Lee over this piece of shit any day and gladly lick that tramp.

Really did make me want to chuck the British tree altogether.

lost the first 8 games from stock on the bounce but been having a blast since then with the QF-40mm even though my crew is only 80% and no gold ammo.

oh yeah and I may have done a bit of remodeling.

I think i will be keeping this for a while

Wierd...Im actually finding this tank extremely fun. I wasnt looking forward to it due to the low pen guns, but thats a problem for all t4 lights. Fully upgraded with the QF 40mm it becomes a beast, possible the best T4 light of them all. Top tier the gun cuts through everything, Things get tricker in T5 but it can still hold its own again T5 meds if you play it aggressive, fire all 4 shots into their side, duck behind cover/circle beyond their turret and reload, then attack again, ive beaten Pz IVs/M4s in less than 8 seconds using this method.

Overall, its a fun tank for me. The lemon of T4 for me as far as the brits are concerned is the A10. Its a cruiser tank without the speed, leaving a gigantic hulk that cant go more than 24kph on flat ground and absorbs every shell shot at it. The only good thing about it is the 7.3inch howitzer, which has awesome damage but takes 5 years to aim and loads slower than the KV-1S's long 122mm. Granted it would be much better at 100% crew, but theres no way im grinding that long for it.

I love this tank :)
Stock gun is the best .. the 3 inch gun is terrible .. very disappointed with it.
the second engine makes this vehicle much better ..
second turret is bouncier..
I bounce quite a few when get shot on the turret ..

It's a fun tank for me :)
22 battles  - 13 wins, 9 lost
Ace tanker.
Average exp : 312
maximum : 788

It's very good while used properly , if you play against tier 5 - 6 .. unless you can snip the sides of heavies, just avoid them ..
Overall, don't just rush with it, against tiers 3 - 4 it's a beast ..
5- 6 you need to be smarter bun 78 pen for first stock gun (best gun) is very satisfying .. just don't try to shoot T1,KV-1,M6,T-150..
and vk3601 is penetrable on the sides so as the kv-1s

Ohh and yes .. the gun depression is absolutely awesome.. use it !

So basically this tank is ok, when played agains lower tiers, but you do need to be very careful of your own tier and avoid
shooting tier5-6s, as you cant basically pen them...
Solution = play agains lower tiers only. dang...you cant.

And yes, you need to compare to PzIII, Lee, stuart, T-28, A-20. They all have speed or guns that you can affect the game with , and in most tanks you can avoid being oneshotted.

Not with the A13.

And stock gun being the best gun tells everything...

Verdict : D+.   The plus comes from the insane gun depression.

Great tank. So far 55 kills in 28 games, win ratio of 64%, survival 50%... Started with 75% crew and ventilation.

Using QF 40mm without special ammo. Really nothing wrong in this tank. You have the speed to avoid anything you can not hurt. That's all you really need. But not every tank fits for every player.

Only the pzIII has given me any problems have killed quite a few A20s many T28s a couple of lee and at least one PzIII not to mention quite a few Pz38na a few pz4 and 3/4 and Sherman m4

all using the QF40mm

the QF is however useless against a Matilda which is on the same tier and struggles with a valentine also, T5 heavies are totally out of the ball park for that gun.

My WL is 58% with it. Not particularly bad for a T4 light tank per say, although it could use either a bigger engine or some hidden stat ground pressure magic for a bit better mobility.

I'm playing with the Spray 'N Pray gun. Flank, shoot them in the arse for 200-240dmg with your 2x2 round burst and watch them go what the F.

As I see it the only way how to play this tank if you are not top tier is the sneaky bastard way...
Managed to take out two PzIV yesterday.... sneak behind, nail him four times retreat/reload wait till you disappear from the radar and try to repeat.
Of course it is team dependent so if the team is passive enough you are screwed.

FYI loading 20 APCR shells for the QF40 for the harder nuts.

I didn't like this tank during my first battles. But as with all tanks in WoT, all tanks becomes better with practice, even the M3 Lee. Now I find the A13 Covenanter quite fun actually. Maybe I'll keep it, depends on how I like the Crusader. :)

The 3 inch Howitzer is great. Watch the tracer, It is honestly like firing giant marsh mallows. Fired one across the map on El Halluf and it went off the top of my screen lol! Scary thing is it hit though and did a whopping 10 damage. Its like firing a Trebuchet  :Smile_veryhappy:

Me and my son are going to have many giigle with this one. Marsh mallows away........

As someone above said though, it seems to have amazing camo.

I think that this is not a shit tank like others like amx40... in some games if you are top tier you can have fun and several frags

QF cannon is funny (when penetrates)

anyway this is not a tank for maintain in garage

The second Pon-Pon gun is quite good and you actually can afford 20 APCR shells since 8000-12000 credit earning are quite possible for A13.
