It doesn't feel THAT bad.
I mean, it has a decent selection of guns, it's fast enough to flank, has the gun depression to make good use of hills....
Granted it's only been one day, so the matchmaking is favorable. We'll have to see how it performs when it's up against bigger, badder tanks. My guess is not great, but still better than other tier4s such as the AMX 40, pz3 and M3 Lee.

Try playing it at night and you will get dropped into tier 6 battles nonstop, prepare for the pain!!! Also that 40mm gun gives an unbelievable amount of penn for no damage hits, plus the fact that your second round will miss every time when the target is moving horizontally to your position.

tier 5's are a challenge, tier 6's are impossible and certain death if you engage them. It's a fun little bugger if it gets matches as toptier, else, not so much.

I loved the tier 2 tank, really like the tier 3 tank but this one.. not so sure about it yet.
It has the potential to be quite deadly w=in toptier, but i just lacks against higher tier targets. And as a scouting vehicle.. hadn't much luck as that yet.

This is the gripe.

I dont know how you do it, like what you sacrifice to get to the tier 3-4 games.. :)
But honestly, 90% of my games in the tank, I have been in the lowest 4-5 players, or the lowest. So mostly tier 5-6 games.

The tank is Totally useless there.
In the low tier matches, you can have fun, thats for sure.
As said, I have relatively good kill stats, close to 1.5 with the tank, even if I have gotten a bit handicapped.
But the other tier 4 tanks are much, much, much better in high tier battles than A13.

That is my gripes.

And the camo values :  there has been some talk that they are apparently messed up. So even that redemption goes out of the window...

Not really, well, Amx 40 is not. But that one should get B1 matchmaking anyway.

This tank is the real idiot magnet.
32% win ratio after 25 games.
Oh God almost every team (not the opposite ofc ) is fail when i play with this tank.
I thought the grind with the M3 lee was true painful.
That was a mistake.
Cant wait to sell this tank...

Same here........18 battles, 22 kills,  4 ( FOUR ) wins = 22 %, not only a idiot magnet but also even worse when you "upgrade" it,  just plain stupid and (by a mile) the worst tier 4, FUBAR .

What MM weighting does this use? Standard light classification which means you can see really high tiers?

The cromwell is my objective. After that the British meds just felt like the US ones I've already got, esspecially the teir 10 medium. It's just a M48 patton with a better power/weight ratio. I was hoping for the cold war killers that the British actually had, not just reskinned pattons.

Nearly at enough XP to justify using a lot of free xp to skip it, really not enjoying this tank, it cant hurt much and if it does hit it does very little damage. Painful progress so far and while I dont claim to be a brilliant tanker most of my other vehicles are at 50%, this one is well under 40%

It could be a fun vehicle which is annoying, it looks good, and relatively quick but it's just not effective.

I think a lot of people are forgetting that this is a Tier 4 light, not medium. It is fragile but when supporting the medium & heavy tanks, as well as tank destroyers, it's a rather helpful vehicle, especially with it's quick turn of speed which allows you to perform flanking moves relatively quickly which can help to reveal targets for your team. I don't have many kills with it, I've no idea what my win/survival rate is but I'm personally more than happy acting as a scout with this than pretending to be a medium/heavy and trying to get kills.

It won't be everyone's cup of tea but it is definitely not the worst Tier 4 tank in my eyes.

A13 Covenanter is basically a low tier batchat mixed with teh pros of a Pershing/Patton I. You need to recognize:

Forget about the 75mm. QF40 is the way to go. The QF is devastating, if used correctly. It does a whopping 200 average damage in under 1s. And then for 5.x seconds nothing. You just have to do 3 things:

1. Let the gun aim, dont just spray around. It has very low shell dispersion, so you hit when you aimed nicely. And if you aim, aim on something you can penetrate: Most of Tier 3 and below. Many Tier4 with bad armor. All other enemies in the side or at weakspots.
2. While it reloads either seek cover or do some dancing around the enemy. Use the great gun depression (peek over a hill top or slope, from craters or use rocks and rubble).
3. Repeat.

It regularly nets you battles like this (75% crew, absolutely no frills). Note the XP is without (2x) or premium.

Well I´m just 25 battles into this tank.

So far its just a great tank. at first i was sceptical and unsure how to use this baby properly. After the QF 40 mm was installed, the whole expirience changed. I just had two matches in a row were I killed 8 and then 6 enemy tanks. That felt great.

I think the tank is underated, if you use it with some courage and get behind enemy lines you can do a LOT of damage.

Problem is: this works only up to tier 4. As soon as I encounter tier 5, I´m gone. (BTW: I really have problems killing a valentine with it.)

Greetings and good hunting,

Phoenix

I am a noob , so i am happy that i enjoy a tank hated by 65% of players who played it. At the moment i have unlocked everything except the howitzer and radios and i like it. In tier 6 battles it's bad, yes. You must sit on back of a heavier armored tank and follow him at every move, it is really effective! The A13 mark 1 was crappy (i didn't unlock pom pom), but the A13 mark 2 was great (unlocked QF 40 mm) and the Covenanter is practically bad , but u need to know how to play it.
Sorry for typos or something else , i am not English :)

This tank can't be deployed as a scout. Its armour is too poor for it to retreat over finding the enemy. At the same time is low dmg guns mean it can't kill other light tanks because they can slash though the light armour.

I ended up grinding free xp with spare gold to get though the wreck as fast as possible.

sorry but this tank is an anti scout specialist with the QF-40mm it murders other light tanks, I have been playing the gift tetrarch for a long time, it is one of my favorite tanks and it has the same rules as this one, DON'T GET HIT! lol which means never try and stand your ground, move, use terrain, use the awesome gun depression, shoot and scoot.

I've played a few battles and it's quite fun, if a bit frustrating sometimes. Using the howitzer currently, not the greatest of guns, but it has it's moments.

For example, did you know it makes the Covenanter the god of hulldown in certain places?

Because of the rather big curvature of the shell trajectory you can use it to fire over a ridge without exposing a single piece of your tank. This works in certain situations but when it does it's rather hillarious :D

Will have to try out the Pom Pom, had no idea it was an autoloader :D
