It's rather easy to me... Safe Stowage is always there to cover your ammo rack being hit, either from a oneshot or possibly from being damaged. Adrenaline Rush is a skill that kicks in only rarely (1-196 health) when you're most likely going to die anyway due to everyone being able to penetrate (or splash w/ arty) you and take out a huge threat (Because you do 3.5k dpm even without AR).

Just consider how often you get to sit in the 2nd line of battle with <200 hp without being targetted. Being able to utilize your DPM in general is hard, there's very few scenario's where you can sit and shoot even 5 times in a row.

This.

I think I'll go for Safe Stowage then. Thanks for the advice.

I go stabiliser, vents and toolbox (not on the list of poll options); Small repair, first aid and manual fire extinguishers, bought in bulk on specials.  Crew is 100%+BIA+repairs+ about 40% firefighting.

Great gun in a slightly fragile, moderately agile tank.  Love it.

No CAMO on the T62A? Add it as a second option in the CREW skills asap!

Mine are:

Commander; 6th Sense, Camo, BIA, Repair.
Gunner; Snap Shot, Camo, BIA, Repair.
Driver; Smooth Ride, Camo, Clutch Braking, Repair.
Loader; Safe Stowage, Camo, BIA,  Repair.
You have 500 battles on it with BiA not in action mate...
If you want your BiA be in action you have to add the BiA to the driver as well !!!! The BiA works ONLY when ALL the crew members has this perk at 100%.
If you see, the punch of Bia you have are not shiny (!) thats has to tell you that the BiA is not exist at all.
When you will put BiA to the driver (100%) you will see that the punch will be shiny!

I think I've hit a sweetspot where I feel I can contribute in most situations. All but maybe 1 or 2 of the past 20 matches have been 3-4k damage done at least. And meaning in a way where playing the game is fun for me as well, IE not camping like a pussy all day... just for a few minutes at most depending on the map.

http://mwreplays.com/replayimg/1c1fae7265301bdbc5a3dea09cd1cb1d.png

And a top gun match today... which is extremely rare for me in this tank. Pulling 6k damage in one match is easy enough, but getting the killing blows? It just doesn't happen for me. 2-4 is average, 5-6 almost never. It actually happens so rarely that I didn't notice in this match until after the match ended, which is why I took a rather careless shot at the E75...

I do also hate the DPM. As it doesnt mean instant win win situation to have high DPM and its boring to see 300dmg hits with Tier 10 tank. Maybe its just me, but havent got the feeling; "WOW, what a DPM very nice to have it" but instead "Argh, 250, 330, 350, 280". Also the fact that ex. Obj 268 deals avg 1700dmg in 28s-30s and T-62A does 1600dmg in 28s-30s. You can now decide that DPM is overrated. It affects on the first 10s (against heavies) and after 30s but sadly if you are visible for 30s you are dead. If you cant shoot after every reload (meaning teammates arent spotting for you or enemy tanks are in cover), you wont do as much damage as other mediums.

reload in 268 is like 14,5 sec so in 30 seconds he can shoot in 1st, 15th and 30th second that is approx 2550 damage in first 30 sec considering u are both loaded....

True, forgot the first shot. That also makes bigger difference between alpha and DPM in situations where you cannot snipe/shoot constantly. And those situations exists more often than good sniping situations.

Yup, the first shot change the DPM a lot. If you count it in, 62a´s dmg is really bad. It struggles to catch up even to E50M before it dies...

Id say alpha is more than RoF in most situations. High rof guns cant snipe properly(cant hide+relocate after shot), your camo cant "regenerate" fast enough.(had many situations, when my 2/3rd shot de-cloacked me, but not the first one).

Only situation in which you can utilize your DPM is when you force your opponent to waste his first shell. That way you can assure he will be critically wounded before he reloads...

And that's why the T-62A plays different from the T-54... the T-54 could absorb/bounce/take a shot and then murder something. The T-62A can't really take a shot in that same fashion so you have to find places where someone else can take a shot for you and then you can do your thing.

that's why camo is so important for T-62A. Not getting shot at is the point!

Thats true and I have the camo. But the problem isnt really to not be able to do enough damage, the problem is in the poor armor as Tier 10. Even when I have done utterly aweful stats with my T-62A, I can still do easily at least 3k-4k damage per match If I want to. The point anyway isnt to make super stats, the point is having fun and I play the game with my style to have most fun. Camping/sniping isnt fun and so on why I hate the tank.

Lets step to the poor armor and why its behind all. First I did 1.7k damage per battle with my T-54 and I played 566 matches which were mostly solo, thats bad indeed. Anyway, got 63% victory ratio without even able to kill 1x Tier 9 tank per battle. So I was carried by teammates but still got good victory ratio as solo. The key was the armor, I easily facerolled over any Tier 7 tank without losing HP at all, against T8 tanks I had to be a little more careful but was able to make pressure on em and go through. There was only T9 tanks which stopped my moving on the map or if I was against more than 2 Tier 7-8 tanks. Was able to deal 2 T7-8 tanks at a time. I was able to control the map on my tier which gave me huge advantage without dealing that much damage.

Now I have played Lorraine (medium) and have done 2.1k damage (not that much really but still more than with T-54) per battle but still having poor 50% victory ratio. I have noticed that every loss becomes because heavies fail and Lorraine can only deal damage but not take em back. So even doing 4k damage I cant carry my team as without being at full HP there is always Tier 7 heavy which can bring me down. In T-54 I could have 500hp and still own Tier 7 tank and so on.

Now thinking to have an armor on Tier 10 medium to be able to bounce alot would be OP. Well it may be, but isnt E-50M still dinging alot beside the lower hull? I want the map control and control over Tier 8 tanks without wondering to lose 600-1000k HP per tank. Lets add another Tier7-8 tank and YOU ARE DEAD which didnt happen in T-54...... Really what the fuck. I want at least the same armor than T-54 to have a slight ability to ding against enemy tanks on its tier.....

Most exciting battles are fought in close combat, to face your enemies and overcome the situation. Not by sniping behind and see if your teammates last enough long to be able to snipe em down. Now people say, pick Heavy Tank. Yes sir, but once played T-54 you cant love any other medium more than it. Its gameplay was so fantastic on its tier but the truth stroke in my face so hard when got T-62A that I havent whined about any other tank that much than from it. Still cant believe I farmed 200k xp just to be so annoyed :D

Maybe T-62A is just not your cup of tea. I see that you're doing great with IS-7 line. Try IS-4 line as well. These tanks like it up close and personal (except KV-4 which likes it at mid range) and can take a beating as well on top of that.

Try american meds for dog fighting. They're great at it.

I finally got T-62A and played a few games. I really like it but find it hard to survive. You get penetrated by every Tier VIII which makes it really hard to roflstomp some low-tiers and then still engage tanks on your Tier directly. T-54 plays differently and - I think you can say so - a bit better on its Tier due the amount of hull-armour. Nevertheless T-62A is great fun and I will try to improve my playstyle and tactics in the thousands of matches to come with this lovely Russian tank :)

Does anyone find the turning delayed yet when it does turn it's very sharp to the extent that you are overturning a bit too much at times??

Makes it almost hard to drive. One of the reasons why it's never really a tank I like to play in randoms.

Yes, everything else in my garage turns progressively. I think this is unique to the T62a. Just find it a bit annoying.

Bought n' Played 6 Games with this tank and got 2 steel walls.
I can't say much about it right now, so I will return after 100+ battles, but I love this tank already.
In my opinion, it is the best machine for 1v1... I totally raped IS-4 then IS-8 and centurion in a single battle...
But I'm struggling in a group fights (exluding the tier 10 med platoon)...  :)

Nobody told about sniper perk . So , if you had sniper perk ( who gives 3+ % for critical shoot [I guess]) , and if you have a 9,09 rof , you can damage very very many modules  :Smile-playing:
