I was really surprised to see this tank not included.  The Germans and russians have really nice T5 light tanks but the US seems to be lacking.

I wonder when the Chaffee will be released. Nothing said about it for 6.5

on the subject of the chaffee, i really really hope it gets the short 105 from the sherman or T82(considering it will be fighting T8-9 tanks all the time)as the chaffee only has 20mm of armor and happens to be slower than the M7(they might change that though),because if they did i might get it instead of just sticking with the M7.

hopefully this wont be considered OP <_<

Now that the tier 5 lights have been confirmed to be close on the pipeline, I wonder what part of this tank will they buff? Unadjusted it seems like it'd be meh (exremely crap, infact) as tier 5 scout, especially compared to VK28 which was supposed to have better armour, gun and mobility.

I guess they'll give it ahistorical top engine at least, 16 HP/ton isn't going to cut it for a scout tank. Perhaps 480-500 HP engine or so. Perhaps slightly buffed armour like Locust got? It will also be smaller than VK28, at least.

My guess is that it will have the same stock engine as the M37 and the M41, the top engine of one of these and the top engine of the M7 (it was monted on a prototype). Since it was lighter than the M7, I'm expecting it to be faster. The biggest problem, in my opinion, is the guns: its historical gun is similar to the top 75 mm of the M7 (most people prefer the 6 pounder). However, it will have to face tanks tier 9-10, while the M7 only faces tier 8 at most. I'm not expecting the 105 mm howitzer, since this is called an M37, even though it would be nice.
I'm expecting a smaller, somewhat faster but less armored M7, with an unforgiving match-making. You may replace "unforgiving" with any strong word of your preference.

I hope we will see the M41 Walker Bulldog in the future too: M41.

It looks even better than the M24. Very nice design on American tanks. :Smile_great:

It's in the tech tree, so I don't think you'll have to buy it.  B)

Can't wait for this! Went to a "WW2 Weekend" in a town north of where I live about 10 months ago and they had one of these beauties parked outside the station :)

Looks like its going to be allot bigger, slower and less armored than the VK2801
Similar size to Pershing realy
Judging by historical data. at 16hp/ton this is guna be the slowest light tank ever.
and the 75mm gun wont stand up to very much at all, except artillery and lower tier tanks

They will probably give it a bigger engine and crazy track traverse speeds.
