In fairness though I think it looks quite cute with the second turret. I've always liked the slightly odd looking tanks ingame. From a gameplay perspective than Donjon setup combined with what we know about US gun depression in general, is gonna give a whole new meaning to "hull-down".

It looks totally OP compared to other T5 tanks.

I think that's true for all tier 5 lights. It's evident already from the exp and purchase price. God knows why they allow these things in tier 5 top fights, they make KV look like a kitten.

They should be limited to max tier 6-7 fights at minimum.

I'm looking forward to this one, I need to check how much XP I have stored on my M5 now I guess.

I do agree, how in the HELL do they account for that 2nd turret?? It's even uglier than the PzIV's!

I think they drew an analogy with the M6 heavy and the M6A2E1, and concluded the US did make pretty revolting looking tanks. Still though, I like it on a light tank: baby KV FTMFW!

Nothing beat the ugliness of the P4. ;)

The turret is a bit oversized, but I don't think it looks that bad and I really don't care when you get 460m view range with it. :Smile_great:

537500 Credits

That is pricy for a tier5 tank, but it is definitely worth it.

Chaffee is such a bad tank.
Here is proof:

And i almost killed the 2nd e-75. If the shot had not hit the IS3 next to him he would be part of the statistic :P
Now lets hear it, anyone hates the Chaffee?

I'm afraid it'll get nerfed,so I'll speak my mind.

It is the worst tank I've ever driven. It has awful armor and the gun is ridiculous.Unfit for a tier1 tank.
The accuracy on the move is unexistant and firing speed slower than artillery.
Also,the turret is stupid.

I certify this review 100% truthful and not in any way made up to make sure people understand I love it to bits, and make sure it doesn't get nerfed through player feedback  :Smile-hiding:

I can agree and sign on that. Poor little Chaffee needs more love.

Agreed on that. it's a lousy excuse for a tank as it is. I think the armour should be tripled, and perhaps some more top speed to balance it. Also, what's with the penetration? Even KV has better penetration than this failtank.

After consideration i agree with all above.

Chaffee is very bad tank. Poor speed, poor mobility. Gun is fast but fires spitballs. WTH?  :Smile-izmena:
All other T5 lights are better. T-50-2 is like race car, goes vrom vrom across battlefield and arty goes QQ.
VK2801, very armored and good speed, good view range too. Very well around tank.

Chaffee however? Very bad tank, good view range yes but for what, to see death coming a few meters sooner? I'm very disappointed. Playing Chaffee makes baby Jesus cry.

(reverse psychology ftw)

After more extensive testing it doesn't look that good anymore. MS1, Loltraktor and Cunningham have all guns that can easily penetrate the hull. How do they expect a scout to survive against bigger tanks?

Hmm, just circle jerked a T-34-85 to death with the stock gun.  :Smile_harp: Then the King Tiger killed me. Just who does he think he is anyway?

Erm, mind you I still do think it's very, very bad tank. Needs the tracks to mount even the second engine, and can't mount the top gun without the second turret and so on. Almost like second VK3001P really.

Bullocks

The M24 has the best view range and Gun, but thats it, it is the slowest of the 3 T5 light tanks

I simply cannot ignore the arguments posted above. I must concur, the Chaffee is a overpriced overgrinded piece of crap. It moves like a turd, it looks like a turd, and with a little luck the top pea shooter can just barely tickle the tanks it will be matched against.

You have to remember, that Lights get matched against much bigger opponents than normal tier5 tanks. The tier5 lights are also much more expensive and need much more xp to be researched. You also can't expect people to drive scouts that can get oneshotted by tier7 tanks and have no chance of hurting any high tier arties. Any scout should aleast have the chance to surive one shot by most of the tier7/8/9 tanks.
People who reseach a scout also invest in a dead end tech tree, while normal tier5 tanks are just a short halt for most of their owners until they reach higher tiers.

Scouts might be a bit op on their tier, but that is the compensation for 9of10 battles where they get matched against tier8+.

That is one of the most sensible explanations yet.
I couldn't have said it better.Good job sir.
