I never had any fun in that tank and was glad that when the grind was over. It's a light tank so yes, it has great camo but that's about the only good thing it has. It's the size of a medium, it moves like a medium and it's gun is propably the worst gun a T5 tank can get. Sure i had some good games with it. It's good if you can get behind the enemy and use that machine gun to hammer the enemy but more often that not it's not possible. You get one-shotted really often(by arty or KV1s) and what you can do around half of the match is pretty limited.

All in all, a pretty useless tank and i didn't like it one bit.

crusader is a wonderfull tank. i love it. good penetration, fast reloading and pretty accurate gun. this tank is not the fastest one but it holds speed really good if you are going up some hill.

now with the 3 days premium code i got about 700-800 exp average with this tank in approx 30 matches.

yesterday i played with my clan mates in a 3x crusader platoon and we had so much fun.

you only have to watch your gunner - if he dies you also reload much slower :)

This one's definitely a love it or hate it tank then! I enjoyed it at first but it's flaws, in my eyes, made it too annoying.

Its a nice and fun little tank. Kinda like a mini Patton! It will indeed be a easy tank to get the needed xp with. Just love the gun and gundepression on this thing

If Crusader was tier IV and Cromwell tier V, that would be awesome. Every other country has it's iconic medium tank (ZSSR: T34, Ger.: PzIV, USA: Sherman, France: well, the only medium FR had was Somua), while they are all equal,

With respect the Crusader IS the iconic British tank of ww2. She held the line during the darkest days of the north africa campaighn and was the most significant british tank before 1944.

Sure the Cromwell was the first, effective, British tank but the humble Crusader was our workhorse and was the iconic poster child of British armoured warfare before D-Day

Its rubbish, so far I've found all the brit tanks to be terrible and no fun to play, i'm hoping the Cromwell and the Churchill 7 both of which i'm close to now will change my mind.

How can you say that? The Brit 2 pounder gun is awesome, yeh the first few tiers are slow tanks but not rubbish. I am on the Tier IV Valentine and I will stick on it as its great. If you use the 2 pounder it fires quick and if you upgrade to 6 pounder it does good pen and good damage for tier and its armour is very good....yes its slow but you cant have everything.

Yes, it fought in Africa, but T-34, Sherman and Panzer IV fought until the end. Playing with Crusader against one of these makes me uncomfortable and loss of confidence. I do not want to insult the strength of the tank, but It just doesn't feel like tier V tank, sorry.

In real life the Crusader wasn't very good, it was fast light and had an under powered gun (compared to german tanks), thin armour and was very unreliable. Sorry but thats the truth, it wasn't as good as the Sherman, T34 or PZ IV, thats a fact. The brits needed the sherman tank to win the desert war, thats a fact.

It was designed as a cruiser tank, the tank philosophy in the desert war was different to Europe so the Crusader just wont work as well in the small maps of WOT, give it a wide open flat desert where it's speed would be useful then it may do better, but for creeping about and sniping it will be hopeless. I won't be bothering with it thats for sure.

The fact is Brit tanks didn't get any good until the latter stages of the war (except for Matilda. Valentine and Churchill)

Chaffee with 115 dmg can actually damage things.

Crusader: 75HP 28RPM 110mm penetration -12° depression
Chaffee: 110HP 18RPM 130mm penetration -10° depression
with the Crusader only getting up to tier7 where it does not need the 20mm more penetration of the Chaffee this setup clearly looks comparable with a slight advantage to the Crusader because of:
a) looks
b) gun depression

Um..it has amazing depression and a fast firing howitzer that you can fire above obstacles when in third person mode. How can this be bad?

yes, crusader is maybe the best tier5 light tank.
It's not a fast scout like classic tier5 lights but it has awesome gun depression and an excellent match making (tier7 top).
It has a very small and rounded turret that is really hard to hit with tier5 innacurate guns. I suggest you buy it and keep it since the crew can not be transfered to the cromwell medium tank (it has huge retrain penalty).

(bold italics mine)

???  Seriously ???

I have all the Tier V Lights elited and the Crusader's MM makes it worth playing (I play mine several matches everyday) but it isn't close to being even the second or third best Tier V let alone the best.

oh boys you should not compare the crusader to the Chaffee, rather more to the T-34. And if you doing so you will see that the crusader needs buffs. He is in every aspect worst than the T-34. The only thing that could be better is the camoflage, due to a smaller profile. Don't get me wrong, i love my crusader but after playing a bit T-34 again and comparing the stats i wonder what WG thought when they set the stats for the crusader.

Crusader is really good for its tier, Im currently loving it. It can be quite devastating when put up against its own tier, and really annoying to heavy's asses in high tier matches.

720+ dmg per battle.
67% win rate.
70% hit rate.
189 kills at 115 battles.

The MM is such pleasure, 70% top third of team rooster and such comments post battle from a burned KV-1 commander (8k battles):

Struggling a bit with my crusader, i absolutely adored the covenanter, this tank seems a bit more reliant on the match-maker for my tastes.
