the crusader is realy a fun tank i enjoy it a lot and i had a few awesome battles with it and the gun is great i even beat pz3-4 on 1v1 the only tier 5 tank taht i have problems penetrating it is the kv-1

twice I've taken down a KV-1 solo with my Crusader. First time i got close and circled like a shark, second i pinned him agains a wall and he couldn't get his gun to bear as the Crusader is so low.

If you get caught you die, but if you can get the KV1 on it's own and get close before he reacts, he's toast.

Crusader is a really fun tank compared to all other Tier 5 tanks.
It's best used to flank and piss of bigger tanks.
Best thing is its low height, if you get close to larger tanks like KV2, Tiger, etc. you can easy kill them while they can't shoot you.

I find it to be a smaller M7. And as I really did enjoy playing the M7, I also liked the Crusader.

It's a light tank, a flanker. With its 6pdr it can damage any tank it faces in the matchmake. i have managed to take down a bunch of KV-1Ss an IS and even 2 Tigers.

Never stop moving when using this tank, unless you're entirely sure you're safe from enemy fire.

I never had any fun in that tank and was glad that when the grind was over. It's a light tank so yes, it has great camo but that's about the only good thing it has. It's the size of a medium, it moves like a medium and it's gun is propably the worst gun a T5 tank can get. Sure i had some good games with it. It's good if you can get behind the enemy and use that machine gun to hammer the enemy but more often that not it's not possible. You get one-shotted really often(by arty or KV1s) and what you can do around half of the match is pretty limited.

All in all, a pretty useless tank and i didn't like it one bit.
Have to agree.I hate it.It's a pile of excrement.Azakow some lessons on this tank would be appreciated lol.I just cant get this tank to work for me.

If your DpM is not enough, then I suggest to use your weigth to inflict damage on the opponent.
The pom pom gun of an A13 can be quite nasty, so you have to make a fast decission on your actions.

The result may be a situation like the following.
Spoiler

Rule of thumb:
Your weigth is higher then the opponents weight (20>18 tones).

I'm just looking forward to get rid of this piece of trash. With a decent gun this tank could be fun, but the combination of low alpha and no armour and average mobility is just a pain in the rear. WG must be run out of ideas when they start to implement tanks like this.

I don't like it very much, though I've got a lot of fun in the Covenanter with the howitzer.

With top gun you got a fast reload, good pen and low damage (like T-34) gun, you profit of good camo values due to light tank status, but your mobility is like a medium and thats the fact I couln't understand and deal with.

In addition the aming time is long and accuracy isn't good what are the major disadvantages for me.

But the main fact why I don't like this tank is it's mobility... a KV-1S is as fast as you (nearly).

A few days ago I wanted to help on Abbey some comrades on the western side against some tanks. It took me a while to go there and till then a KV-1S popped out on the minimap and the flank was gone. Then he decided to hunt me and he managed it... luckily for me the game was won by capture cause  I think he'll catched me a few moments later.

I'm looking for the Cromwell and hopes it will be much better than this tank.

bad tank, too slow for a scout
not enough armour to fight
bad gun.
I would say its a great tank but i fear that they might nerf it :Smile_sad:

I can't decide. I'm keeping mine currently but results are up and down...I enjoy using it though so its staying in the garage for now.

Really performs best in a platoon where you have friends to swarm with of course...surprise being the key by using your camo value.

I see some people use and LIKE the howitzer? The shell speed is so low you can almost catch it yourself. Gold ammo? Using standard ammo is somewhere around 7-20 damage on most tanks...

I've taken to calling this tank "The Punisher", as it punishes mistakes with severity.

Only downside is that it punishes your own mistakes as badly as those of the enemy.

I just don't understand why it had to be introduced as a light tank, is it really too much to ask for a tier 5 medium tank in a medium tank tree so I can train my crew in it??
And don't tell me it's because it's a cruiser tank. The Cromwell is also a cruiser, and it's a medium tank, and so is the Comet...

I love that tank... mostly when I play pzIV with howitzer... so many oneshooting.

Really... it's tragic mobility is the biggest pain in da a... until you get some spotting positin, opossite kw-1 is already there :DDD

The top gun isn't so bad if u could get behind the target easily, but that crap almost do not turn and accelerates badly.

A steaming pile of...

Yes, you can flank and have mobility, but if you're top tank vs a KV-1 you may as well consider the match lost. It just doesn't have the ability to carry games like other tanks do. In my M4 I don't mind being matched against a heavy...at least that tank does damage. This PoS plinks away at their health until they get lucky and blast you away. I'm used to being able to make a difference in matches when I play, but even against an opposing team of players with less than 1k matches you can only do so much in this. Everything penetrates it and even if you kill 3 or 4 you still get shredded.

Binned...will free XP past it when enough builds up...

You better get used to it, because it will continue next tier and so forth.

I'll give it as far as tier 6 anyway before deciding if I want to go any further down that line. I like fast, nimble meds so the Cromwell should be right down my alley. Liked it on the test servers. Some tanks you just don't get on with...it might work fine for others but not for me.
