Drawbacks: The second shell of the 2-shell-shot never hits anything because of the recoil. :Smile_amazed:

I load HE and hunt other british tanks. You can penetrate low armor tanks and wreck them with HE.

I hate how the second shell ALWAYS MISSES. Essentially your dpm is halved.

Also, the penetration is awful and you can't hit anything over 200m away.

I hate the 4-cassette reloading guns. I think a better solution would be the Panzer 2's gun, where you chose when to shoot the five shells in the autoloader.

I tried the Pom Pom in tier 2, 3 and 4, and i have to say that in tier 4 it isn't the best choice, i prefer the other one ( i don't remember the name now ) for my Covenanter.

In tier 3 is ... strange ... the double shot is a little annoying in long range shot, because it didn't give the gun enought time to re-aim, and in close combat is peculiar and need some time to be mastered properly, because it takes quite a lot to shot the second shell. Anyway, in tier 3 it remains good.

In tier 2 is the best thing i've ever seen ! it rapes all the tanks that come in range!
Ok, it has a terrible accuracy while on the move, and the aiming time is terrible, but 4 shot with great peentrationa dn good damage is enought to kill or at least cripple evry enemy tank.
I'm having lot of fun with it in my A13 mk I at tier 2. The tank is good, but it lacks completely armour, and so you have to be sure to kill the enmy with your first volley of shots. And the Pom Pom is almost what it needs!
I like them both: the tanks and the gun.

It's best at tier 2 A13 mk.I, as it's NOT double shot, but 4 individual shot clip. And at that tier it's enough to kill a full-hp tank if all hit and penetrate. Pure heaven and hell, depending on the end of the gun you are looking at.
I find the double-shot to be detrimental to longer-range firing, though it does improve short range performance by a negligible factor (it empties the magazine aroung 0.5 second faster than single-shot pom pom from tier 2)

I think the QF 40 mm Mk. VI at tier 3 gives double shots, I like it a bit more than Pom Pom.

The basic gun - QF 2-pdr Mk. IX got nice Accuracy, ROF and Pen for its tier, it rules in Province etc.

You just have to aim to the lowest point of the hull which cad be damaged, and the recoil will make sure you will hit either the turret or the upper hull ( depending on range ). I use light british tanks like an cavalry archer, firing on the move, but i get some lucky shots.

pom pom is super fun on T2 and I'm definitely keeping A13Mk1 as only H35 (which is kinda rare) is imune to it...the rest of the tanks die within 2 seconds :)

I only liked it at tier 2. It seems very close to worthless in just about any other tier...which is a shame - 'cause it has such a great name...

At Tier II this thing is like Mjolnir, having it MAKES you a god, and it also "lacks" the burst option at Tier II, so you just have four rounds in an auto-loader.

It's just an indication that you're chicken and firing from too far away  :Smile_blinky:

Try getting close with a slow arse no armor A10.

Great gun at tier 2 after that it sucks.

Besa is great fun, Pom-Pom is great fun and Bofors QF 40mm is also fun

I think nearly all the British tank guns have something that makes them original and different.

Love this gun. Although I'm having an issue with it, it seems that any shot over about 200m goes missing. The shots seem to hit, but there's no "bounce" message or any damage to the target. The shots just vanish?

Read it in another post, (sorry cant find it), that autoguns range is limited to 350m.
Didnt tested extensively - but seems to be true.

I noticed that small caliber shells disappear fast. For exemple, 20mm and 25mm guns can't reach the 300m, and 37mm and 40mm autocannons lose so much penetration over 300m, that even if you hit (an act of god), you have 0% chance to penetrate.

Well, for me the QF 40 mm works very well in my Tier 3 A13 (those long designations confuse me, but, yes - I mean the Tier 3 light)
Tier 3 battles are a laugh. Tier 4 - usually just go for the arty.

Came to edit this post just to say how much I love this tank + the 40 mm  :Smile_trollface-3:  Tier 3 battles - pure joy. Tier 4 - fine. Tier 5 - got to choose your enemies carefully. In maps like Ruinberg - pure epicness.
