Beast of War. It's bad, but it has some great shots of a T-55, but I need to reiterate that it is bad.

Just thought I'd edit this post and point out that the above movie is pretty bad. Only watch for the tank. Do not watch for the plot, the acting, or anything else.

I have literally just hurt my brain thinking about how bad that movie is.

Lebanon. This I liked a lot. It's very much Das Boat with a tank.

It's well acted and powerful. Recommended as a movie, but you won't see any beautiful tank shots. It's all "War is Hell".

Kellys Heroes is my choice.

Pershings [tigers] vs Chaffees [shermans] fighting in the Southern Spain [Ardennes] . That film just makes me laugh over and over.
Actually they used M47 pattons as the Tigers not Pershings.

"Best defense" with Eddie Murphy and Dudley Moore

Tank is some horrible mock up of an Abrams (look how roomy it is)

And some nice shots of a Soviet T-26 in "Talvisota"

Perhaps one of our fellow forum denizens from Eastern Europe could help clarify the status of this movie, Life and fate.

It looks like it's going to have tanks in it.

Do I see a T34 disguised as a KV1? Looks like a baby KV1!

Tank at the end of defiance ( a great film I must add)

quoted from a website:
"The German tank which appears near the end of the film is a replica of a Panzer III which was created by modifying a Swiss Panzer 61 tank. It was one of two such vehicles previously used in Enemy at the Gates (2001)."

Cross of Iron. Best WW2 movie ever.

Fear those t-34's  :Smile_ohmy:

Also recommended is 'The Beast' about Afghanistan and a lone tank.

Cross of Iron is an excellent film! Probably one of my favorite World of War II films. A Bridge to Far is another one of my favorites as well, plus they actually have the correct tanks in them which is something that annoys me about some of the older war films.

More modern stuff? Saving Private Ryan has a few good tank scenes in, and Band of Brothers which for my money is probably the best war film/tv series in recent years. "Replacements" is probably the best episode for tank spotting in Band of Brothers, off the top of my head it has Cromwell's and Sherman's in it, along with a Tiger, Jagdpanter and maybe a Panther I think?

When I think of tank movies, I always think first to The Beast of war by Kevin Reynolds. Great movie about a Soviet tank lost in Afghanistan.

I saw it long time ago but Ididn't find it so bad; it's not the best movie ever but in my opinion this movie is underrated.

Lebanon, a film about an Israeli tank crew.
http://en.wikipedia....non_(2009_film)
Trailer: http://www.youtube.c...h?v=IMRD3z_mTqI

It's a good film because it's almost entirely shot inside the tank, with very, very few views to the outside world.
The only real flaw I felt in the film is that the gunner is absolutely rubbish in it. No competent tank gunner would ever let their eyes wander like that.
