If what I heard is true, it's an IS-2 with a 1944 hull, which has better armor.

A Chinese version of the IS-2M would be my best guess.

In Europe and USA is know as IS-2m, is the IS-2 with the last hull they design, the IS-2 in soviet tree has the KV-13 hull model in the frontal, IS-2m has a more angled hull.

You can compare them here

Somebody in Chinese forum says it is a IS-2 with Type59/WZ-111 style turret.

You are right, sorry, my fault, i see now the tree and see IS-2 as tier 7 and IS-2U as tier 8.

In the video only appear in minute 1 IS-2m... i try find info about U variant but nothing... maybe is only a prototype.

First hull types (the kv-13 style) were used on IS-1 with 85mm gun.
The second more angled hull was designed for IS-2 (not IS-2M!) with 122mm gun + some upgrades like machine gun, etc. = IS-2M.
In Wot you can see a rarity, first hull type from IS-1 with 122mm gun and turret from IS-2 = nonsense, no evidence of this combination found.
Aswell, I found no evidence of IS-2U.

Not sure, whats right now, because i always thought:
IS-2 = KV-13 style hull (ingame)
IS-2M = More angled hull

How ever, this pictures say something different:
1
2
3

But many pictures, you will find, if you search for "IS-2" will show you the other version. So I'm not sure, whats right now.

But I'm sure at one point: There were definitively IS-2 with the "KV-13-styled" hull and the 122mm gun, typically for the IS-2.
I know, it's no good source, but german Wikipedia says, that the first IS-2 had the hull of IS-1 (KV-13 style), but it was too easy for the german guns (especially 75mm guns) to penetrate the hull, so the late IS-2 uses the more angled hull, called IS-2 Mod. 1944, produced since June 1944.

The same article in german Wikipedia says that the IS-2 Mod.1944 is often messed up with the IS-2M.

So I think, you are right, but not in all points.

There are 3 main IS-2 variant

IS-2 model 1943 with KV-13 front hull style (ingame)

IS-2 model 1944 with fully sloped upper front plate, also known as IS-2m   (This will be on the Chinese tech tree)

IS-2M official soviet designation, 1950's modernization of IS-2 tanks, both IS-2 model 1943/1944 variants where used durning the modernization program

The ISes with the "KV-13" style frontal armor are all IS-1s or IS Model 1943 normally armed with just an 85mm cannon. When the 122mm cannon was introduced in the IS-2 Model 1944, most of the IS-1s were upgunned to the 122mm.

Since some people didn't understand, I'd like to explain more.

Nothing called "IS-2m" in WW2.

And you guys all ignore the new turret which appeared earlier than the new hull.

Therefore, there is a hybrid model exist.

Nobody claimed it was called as "IS-2m" in WW 2. Its not an OFFICIAL soviet designation, but in western military literature its verry often called/named  as IS-2m. This variant had the fully sloped upper front plate, this front hull style was also produced in 2 variants, cast and welded

btw: Yes an "hybrid" variant also existed, the old 1943 hull with new turret which had a widened gunmantlet, becouse the original gunmantlet was designed for the IS-1/IS-85's 85mm D-5 gun
