For some reason it works fine for me. Already researched the amx 13 75 and now 30+k into the arty.

70% win ratio and it doesnt feel like a grind.

Im using optics, vents and gld. I do a mix of cautios scouting and sniping.

With the mag I can quickly pump in some shots before the enemy even figures out whats hapening.

lol have i read right? ELC as a scout? ...amx 12t is pretty good i just got a t29 for fun and one kv-1s just make them lose it!!!!

Still prefer ELC AMX as the ultimate action tank  :Smile-izmena:   ..run like hell when you see a wounded tank.... shoot!!!  :Smile-playing:  and run again like there is no tomorrow since you low figure already covers you its 90% that you will make it (no fancy rides in enemy bases though )... I must have less than 50 games on it but it was astonishing when i got the hang of it while i used to hate it ....

OH FFS! DON'T YOU EVER DARE TO DELETE MY ABSOLUTELY FAVORITE TANK IN THE GAME OR I WILL HATE EVERYONE FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE!

Sorry for the caps, but this tank is awesome and needs to be in this game forever <3 You really need to learn how to play it since it can shine in all games you get thrown into. I don't mind the MM it gets, I actually like ending up in Tier 8-10 battles. You get massive EXP when you do like 1000+ damage to tier 9-10 vehicles not to mention the passive scouting abilities you have due to high camouflage value.

Not the best vehicle in WoT, but sure as hell it is the most fun tank for me. Buffs are always welcome.

I feel the need to join in with this because I have one of these aweful tanks. I am just back from a match with seven tier tens and six very large guns. These last three days since I got the 12T I have had mostly matches like this. I usually last about thirty seconds !
You can flank a tier ten to your heart's content but you're dead in a heartbeat. A gun with a pen of around a hundred against a ten, don't make me laugh.
So you go spotting. They are faster than you and everything is spotted before you can get halfway across the field. It's a complete and utter waste of my time.
I have had a couple, and only a couple of matches against sixes and sevens and that's a lot better but if the MM stays like this the crappy little amoured car will have to go.The ELC was a million times more fun and even has a better gun.
And from what I read, the higher you go the worse it gets in the french tree.

lol nope. If you die in 30 seconds then you are flanking them on the wrong moment. Besides the pen of the gun should be enough for everything in the game except a Maus.

it is an awesome tank

it doesnt pen most T10 heavies, you can detrack them after pumping a whole mag into them but thats not anywhere near usefull

i would love to see the MM reduced by a slight bit so it doesnt land in t10 only matches anymore

i'm fine with 1-2 T10's in a match where there is enough to shoot at

144 pen is the same then T-43 and this is fine in a t9 match

i noticed as well it is a lot about the equipment and skills/perks

running camo on all crew increases it a lot

i have rammer, coated optics and a camo net, which next to the camo crew makes you pretty much invisible in a bush, so you can wait for the right moment to shoot

took me a while to get around it how to play this thing, but its ALL about patience, dont rush in, dont let yourself get pushed into scouting early match, you're not a T-50-2 in pretty much every aspect

you have the firepower to really be a pain for a T9

let me tell you again, its all about patience

You can pen "easily" T110E5 and AMX 50B from sides, IS-4 and IS-7 from the back and E-100 from the turret's hatch AFAIK.

I love my AMX 12t Yes if caught in the open you are toast, but as a nasty Jack Russell biting ankles and occasionally killing E75 & IS3 it is so much fun :-)

My one concern for my beloved 12t, is that now it's a tier 6, it gets into tier 10 battles.

Now, I can damage tier 10s, but TBH, whats the point of the 13-75 and 13-90 if the 12t gets into more or less identical games?

All you really get is better guns, more health, more speed?

Even if my stats are kinda bad with it, I love my 12t. My favourite thing to do in it is to dance around big, sluggish tanks/TDs/SPGs and avoid them while slowly chipping away their health (usually I end up getting killed by one of their teammates when they deal with the rest of my team, but hey - it's still fun when you see  how nervously the enemy tries to get a shot at you). It's like a tiny, annoying mosquito... of DEATH.

Also @Judqment8 - nice choice of camo, if I do say so myself ;)

AMX 12t essentially has capabilities that puts it in a similar rank to all the other tier 6 medium tanks - It's speed and mobility and firepower and such makes it so.  Unfortunately, WG thinks that this tank is a scout and should be thrown into the crazy tier 9/10 battles.

It's not the tank, it's just its MM. It's suffering the same issues as the AMX 40 in the old days. If it was MM treated like a standard tier 6 medium tank, then it should have a much better public opinion.

AMX-12t is a good and fun tank which I kept in my garage even after reaching amx1390 and then lorry. If you think it sucks, then you might as well quit the tree entirely right now because it doesn't get any better (im serious).

Thanks. Too bad that I don't see it that much since winter maps are like "nonexistent" in WoT.

i'm starting to master it, but i just dont get around the only 30 ammo capacity

in 50% of my battles i run out of ammo and in the rest i'm mostly close to it, especially in a t10 tank where you can barely kill one tank unloading all ammo in to it

Hmm, I just got it yesterday so it may be due to my lacking experience, but I always die before running out of shells  :Smile-bajan2:

have crew with camo, have a camonet (coated optics, vent) and be a ninja

this tank is all about not being visible to the enemy

being in the high matchmaking with having general low hp for your tier you will NEVER win a 1 on 1 headon

search for some bushes, do not shoot (especially not in high tier battles), or only shoot if you know there's no enemy near enough to be able to spot you

do not try to actively scout, sitting in a bush where you can see a lot and stand still is much better

my best fight so far was in a t10 battle with 200 damage myself and 6k damage upon spotting, much better than suicide scouting ;)
