There's one for Chaffee, so why not for the Cougar too? This tank is truly epic, I want to see how others have fared with it :)

@Lancasthor, doing that as soon as I get home :D

Currently my VK is on 162 battles, 1930 avg dmg, 76% wins, 1604 avg xp. Planning to play this beast a lot more.

...and i thought EFE told me not to play that "obsolete junk".
Im glad that at least someone there manages to combine team contribution with fun also.

Having four complete skills and fifth in training does definitely not make it worse.

I bet that D0vahkiin has not played the VK28 in CW battles. In CW context VK28 is useless as T-50-2 (or more rarely chaffee) handles everything better. However for random games VK2801 is a beast and I love to play it too myself from time to time :)

Well .. i have. Quite successfully too. And yes, i do own a Batchat for "real" fights.
But, of course i ment platoons and champion level companies, not CW. Reduced pricetag in tiers pays itself back in some cases compared to AMX13-90 for example.

From the look of the stats, you seem to play pretty wild with your scout.
I'd love to emphatize patience, but with your 1500-battles 2801 experience i can assume that you know how to have fun even without my opinions.

T5 scouts are almost completely obsolete in CWs and T10 companies anyways, right now, but the game isn't all about CWs. It's just the icing on the top :)

D0vahkiin, you have just bought your VK2801 and now you are bragging in almost every topic how good you are in it? Spamming gold ammo is really hard, lol.

I play it pretty agressive, thats right. But i have to say that the 2801 was my first T5 tank i've had, and so there are about 500-600 games on it without knowing what I am doing with that small beast... :) I was on nearly 40% W/L until I realized how to play the 2801...

You will get mail ;)

[edit]
also fun, but one tear i have... it had been a new xp record with win :-(

If you think it's so EZ-mode with gold ammo, why not do it yourself then? Usually when I say this, they start coming up with excuses.

And no, I'm not "bragging" on purpose. I'm trying to make a point on how much the HEAT on T5 derps needs to be nerfed. 280 dmg instead of 350 would fix a lot.

2100 DPM instead of massive 2625 DPM, which would be around the same levels as Chaffee.

Well I have tried it and even though it's fun I rather play with some other tanks than VK2801. After gold ammo became avalaible with credits I have played 30-40 battles with it. Those 2500 exp battles are not that uncommon anymore. Here are my stats and one replay showing what it's to drive VK2801 nowadays.

another clueless person who jumps on the band wagon once it gets easier to play the tank... then brags when comparing his stats to everyone who played the tank when it was much harder to rack up huge damage.

stat whores will stat whore...

Aha, no, you are completely wrong about me. I prefer to play tanks that are considered as UP or harder to play. I just toke VK as an example why T5 derp gun HEAT needs to be nerfed, but instead fell in love with it while experimenting. I will still play it even though the HEAT becomes useless. Usually I lob a lot of HE out anyways, won't change my playstyle very much.

Why do you think I play so much American tanks? Because they require skill and 99% of the time you can't rely on the armor. You have to use your wits, while using your superior gun depression and mobility to outsmart the enemy. Chaffee is pretty much the culmination of all this, and I only use gold ammo on it when it's needed to win(around 5% of all battles end up like this) + 90% of my Chaffee battles were played before the gold patch. Yet, still I have more or less the best stats on the server with it.

You are very wrong if you think I'm some useless gold turd :_D

Less butthurtness Taz, we are all statwhoring here.

Even if i havent played with D0vah (yet)[much?], i consider him as one of the players with great situational awardness on field.
HEAT-packed 2801 seems to be one of the most perfect tools for such player, hence the overshooting statistical performance.

I personally started playing this game again with quite bad timing after the HE nerf. After enjoying Leo in beta i thought 2801 would be my "obsolete" elite vehicle. Lifting personal and crew skills has put me on quite awesome weekly efficiency, even if it does not shine trough the massive amount of games. I bet this counts on Taz too, so many of newcomers seem to look way better than veterans compared on their long term statistics.

And of course .. there ARE better players than us out there. Having finetuned dedication on single tool does not make us automatically the best and most respected in this sport. So im more than happy to hear some fresh points and tactics from newer 2801 aces too. Even with some bragging.

Don't forget that the AlphaD level is relatetd to the Caliber of the Granate means: If you nerf it, it also nerf the primary gun oft the Ferdinand or the top Gun of the JPanther.
VK2801 is hard to Play, one mistake and you are dead meat. And you have to aim good with full speed to get good Kills with HEAT. If you miss to penetrate, 2k Credits are lost for nothing.

Actually, it is happening a lot now.  People who were too scared and incompetent to play the tank prior to 8.1 are now playing it like mad then comparing their post 8.1 stats to those who played hundreds or thousands of battles prior to 8.1.

There is no way to compare them because the variables have changed.
