Greetings

How much would you pay for a ride in a real Tiger tank?

http://www.ebay.co.u...69837465&_uhb=1

If only i had £3,500 lying around  :Smile_sad:

Maybe WG should bid and run it as a prize for the best Tiger score in game or something.

That's the only Tiger left in the world. Nice. If I had that much money to blow on a single ride I'd probably be able to buy a T-34...

http://www.mortarinv...35#currency=GBP

£24,180. I'll pay a third of that and I'll do the fixing up (I'm a decent mechanic).

Anyone else want to chip in? We can park it in my back yard and sit in it making "pew pew pew" noises while I get the neighbours kids to throw stones at us so it sounds like we are getting shot at.

As a prize? you would need some SERIOUS contest to win that kind of prize ( one that id happily go in for :Smile-hiding: )

Ive been in one before though at a tank festival and it is EPIC

also its in bovington which i live like 6 miles away from so its REALLY convenient :)

Wrong. But it is the only Tiger in the world, which is almost in original state. There are other 2 Tigers in France, one in relatively good condition and one quite rusty. And also other 2 Tigers in Russia, one is also well preserved in Kubinka and the second shot to pieces somewhere else in Russia. Wikipedia says something about another Tiger tank in USA, but I dont know anything about it.

They are not actually functional though are they?

Slight mis information on the sale add "tiger killing tank" sure they killed maybe a handful of tigers with the 75mm but at what K/D ratio. Would be more accurate if they had a T-34/85 for sale.

Not sure about those in France and Kubinka, but if they are functional, they are probably full of spare parts and substitutes. Only the 131 Tiger is(as I already said) restored to almost original state, I am not sure about the engine though. It was replaced with engine from King Tiger for some time(Maybach 230) and I am not sure if the original engine(Maybach 210) was installed after that time back or not. So Tiger 131 is definitely in best condition, but not the only Tiger remaining on the world.

Yep. But it's not really misinformation as much as a simple sales pitch. They've also got an SU-100 there.

http://www.mortarinv...62#currency=GBP

If they had an SU-152 for sale I'd consider a bank loan, or bank... "job".

I looked them up. The one in France is just not functional, and never will be. The condition of that thing is a write off.The Kubinka one is the Tiger outside of Bovington that looks like it might work.

Nothing. It's just an old Nazi tank. Guess I'm not a real fan either.  :Smile_blinky:

When we were at Tankfest, only Victor got to ride in the Tiger. I really wanted to get into it too, or a Centurion.

If you're a fan of tanks, going for a ride in the only drivable Tiger is quite a thing. It's history and it took part in WW2. It's not a replica, it's the real deal and something you'll remember for the rest of your life.

Sure for us its great! But I bet if I´d asked my grandfather if he wanted to take a ride, he passed without a doubt...

Seeing the thing, your friends died in, isn´t that much fun, I think.... :Smile_mellow:

btw OP, I am mezmerized from that Avatar of yours.... Is there a name to that Ass? :Smile_glasses:

I'll go in with you, I'll even help fix it up. Mondays Tuesdays and Wednesdays and every second Sunday at my house.

Oh and we have to take it down Tesco's car park once a week for the drifting.
