T34 package: 12000g (T34) + 300g (slot) + 1250g (premium) + 1500g + 30x50g (consumables) = 16550g @ 50€. It's a benefit of 2050g since 14500g costs 49.95.

How many people would normally use gold consumables? I'd take 1500g away as I wouldn't buy them myself under any circumstances. That's mere 550 g profit. But hey, I've got enough garage slots already that I've bought at a discounted price. So take 300g away again. It's 250g profit now. I also wouldn't bother with 7 days premium either. I'd personally would go for 30 days instead. I can't be bothered to calculate the gold difference but I'm on a loosing end already. Bah!

I guess I'm better off buying gold and then spending it the other way.

I'm looking for more fail-promotions in a gift shot. I like to laugh.

What WG? No market research on what players actually want? Thanks for the offer, at least our decrepit gift shop has a few more things in it, but no thanks.

WG starts to learn it, that the packages should be cheaper than the sum of the components. Still it's peanuts and I'm not tempted at all to invest any money in this, let alone in WG itself. A discount of around 5% isn't something you should be proud of.

Especially since non CW players don't care about premium consumables, but they stuff them in to artificially raise
the price and of course to make new players get hooked on them.

and that crime should be? clever camouflage that didn't work out the way it was planned? how is it a warcrime to model your tank in such a way that it looks like the tank of an enemy so you can gain victory against an enemy that outnumbers you by a large margin.

it was actually rather clever, not that it worked but still it was skillfully done.
"Skillfully" wouldn't be exactly a word to use, I think  :Smile_Default:

grind the T-54, there you have it
I think key phrase was "to train Chinese crew". Can you do that with T-54?

May I remind you, that "gift shop" allegedly is for gifts? I.e. to give it to somebody else? Maybe somebody, you do not like very much?  :Smile_trollface-3:

On a bit more serious note - special offer is not tailor made for you personaly. It is not very good offer, but it is not particulary bad or useless for a comunity as a whole (I personaly have enough garage slots, buy premium on 30 days basis and have T34 already, so it is even less usefull for me, isn't it?).

And just to make my point even more clear - if promotion is no good to you, it is not "fail promotion" yet.

A question - will there be another special set yet at 23rd ?

A suggestion - why dont you take all premium tanks, consider the price, consider the gold amount of necessary, compute the money needed and give some discount ? E.g. T25 cost is 1500 gold, you can buy 2500 gold for 9.95, so throw together T25, 1000 gold & garage place / whatever as a bonus for 9.95 ... ?

Specific case - my son wishes himself a T5 tank - current favorite is the T25 (T14 is another option). So I am going to buy him a 2500 gold - if you could put together some nice 9.95 / 19.95 / whatever packages with Tank / Garage / Crew / Gold (I am sure the gold consumables would not be so popular  :Smile_blinky: ) - they would make for lot of people nice gifts  :Smile_great: .

Exactly. The only good thing about these gold consumables is that you can sell them, but definately not worth it.

Still waiting for the real offers...

Indeed it would be difficult to make an offer that is perfect for everyone. However in this case, even if I wanted to make a gift to someone I'd just go for gold and my good advice how to spend it. Beats these recent special offers.

Exactly, however - it would be nice to be able to really gift a 'ready' package with tank / garage place / crew / gold instead of gold only. I know its just another form ... but I would like such a package better - even w/o discount. I think the Wargaming is missing an opportunity here.

Hello all
Don't worry if these are not to your taste or you already have them, sometime soon there will be an appearance of tanks never seen before in the gift shop :)

Still, Paul, could you please carry a notion of actually DISCOUNTED prices or something that would make people go "Okay... that's nice... mmm... ya, gonna buy that" instead of "Really, WG?"

I mean, who else are we supposed to turn to when we don't enjoy your gift packages as they often provide minimal discount or abyssmal profits (for players, that is).

The T14 is an American group of five premium heavy tank.

Developed between May 1942 and May 1943. Two prototypes are made and tested. However, mass production is interrupted, and the T14 was never more than an experimental vehicle.

Classified as a heavy tank T14 is actually a share, up-armored, M4 Sherman. It was part of a failed joint project between the U.S. and the UK. Although it is the weakest heavy tank for its tier, it is fully capable to make short work of a medium tank equal to or lower than their group. It has good maneuverability for a heavy tank, even if it is slow to accelerate and climb the hilly terrain. In addition, the thick side skirts such as T1 Heavy, and thus can efficiently absorb HE damage to the pages. Its main weakness is the gun penetration as it may struggle to damage heavy tanks its tier or higher. It does get a good rate of fire, and it can put out damage quickly. So it is a very good support tank - when you do not have armor to hit directly, it can help heavier armored allies. But T14 is more favorable matchmaking since patch 7.2, should such difficult opponents seem much less often. It is most effective when a hull down position, which, like most U.S. heavy tanks, it has great turret armor. It is comparable to the M4A2E4 medium tank, but have less frontal hull armor in exchange for the thicker side and turret armor.

They are better than the last Gift Shop Packages.  :Smile_sceptic:

Still nothing that screams "Buy me". I beginn to wonder: Have these guys from WG-EU some harsh restrictions on these offers from the HQ? Or are the just scrooge-like, to get us into Christmas mood?  :Smile_veryhappy:

Could you please try to kick your marketing people to providing something that would be a win : win situation? If I have to spend the money (frankly - I will do that anyway for the gift) why not make it look better than simple gold ? Packages filled with consummables are for sure not the right way - except that the consummables are the bonus over the price.

Is it just me or does the Panther M10 look very bad, especially in relation to its price? I mean, I know premiums are supposed to be worse than elite vehicles of their Tier, but the Panther M10 is comparable to the stock Panther. It's slightly faster, the armour is slightly improved, but apart from that it's a stock Panther. Even its moneymaking capability is underwhelming, as many players saw on the test server.

150mm of penetration to deal with Tier 8s? I'm surprised people even break even with it when they're thrown into high-tier games.
Wait, so am I the only one who uses the same gun, L/70 on VK3002 (DB)? I always found it adequate for it's tier.  :Smile_amazed:
