It was December 25, 1914, only 5 months into World War I, German, British, and French soldiers disobeyed their superiors and fraternized with "the enemy" along two-thirds of the Western Front (a crime punishable by death in times of war). German troops held Christmas trees up out of the trenches with signs, "Merry Christmas."

"You no shoot, we no shoot." Thousands of troops streamed across a no-man's land, they sang Christmas carols, exchanged photographs of loved ones back home, shared rations, played football, even roasted some pigs. Soldiers embraced men they had been trying to kill a few short hours before. They agreed to warn each other if the top brass forced them to fire their weapons, and to aim high.

yeah, i guess the fact that this "fraternizing" with the enemy was punishable by death illustrates the utter and complete insanity of war and the first world war especially.
the common man is not interested in being slaughtered or slaughtering others.
its just the top brass, the generals and politicians that insist on killing instead of talking and celebrating.
madness indeed!

So, instead of CW, special events, stuff to make the Community feel it's Christmas.... CW out?!

I truly must confess, WoT is like NO OTHER GAME I HAVE EVER PLAYED.

Here, on Christmas... game goes on vacation.

Well, not bad, so I will have more time to share with my other games where Christmas brings lots of fun stuff, battles, events, specials, etc.

Oh wait, you will also have specials? 3x xp? Discount on STUG3 and T-34? More credits made with ARL44? Discount on retraining?

Well, unless you will make a REAL CHRISTMAS SPECIAL worth of spending time and money on WoT, I'll bet most of us will be doing something else for Christmas.

Many forget the Championship in that it is by definition a second league. There are also a lot of old stereotypes about football being played there as too many think a little too much. However, it is one of the top five leagues in Europe in terms of audience and viewers and leagues can compete with it in terms of uniformity and uncertainty.

Something tells me that the season as a whole has been or will be summarized in a better way elsewhere in the Championship. But I can still take this opportunity to briefly mention what and what I thought were particularly good or particularly bad during the season.

normaly not, since they dont have to defend it, it would be a bit unfair, since that would allow them to cash in lots of gold to allow for lots of gold for premium shells/consumables

I find that WG giving the people that enjoy the game and have a real life a little time to actually live that without suffering annoying consequences a very, very nice thing to do. I understand there are people out there that lack either of those two, but the majority doesn't.

There is also no other company out there that gives away so much in-game content for free or on discounts so often (double credits etc.). Go compare. WG has probably not done everything perfect and some things I absolutely hate (premium shells...) however, overall they're doing a pretty good job. So stop being so spoiled. Go play some other games for a little while and see how much you actually get for free or on serious discounts there.
