Hey,

I think I just found a bug.

Posted Image

If you take a look, you will clearly see that No. 2 has super-uber-h4xX0r-skiller performance rating, BUT:
  • he just got 13 more avg dmg (he has 0.3 higher avg tier, though)
  • less wins
  • less avg kills
  • worse survival rate
  • cap and def are close to each other

Is that a formula error or something?

hi, I think I found a bug: when you check clan stats, noobmeter creates a table with stats of its particular clanmembers. It takes into account current members but it also takes EX MEMBERS too. It can give a very false image of a clan. Take clan IS-AK for example- they have 33 members, but noobmeter suggest that they have twice more

No. 2 has twice the battles played then No. 1, so he did more damage then No. 1 and therefore his rating is higher, or something like that.

Must be a bug. Damage per battle is what counts and it's almost the same amount for both. Btw more than 8k PR in 120 battles is impossible anyway.

true, but based on the tanks you play.

So you want to say that every tank has its own rating?

that is what i understand from the FAQ in the first post.

Quote

Q. What is the performance rating?
A. It is a calculated value assessing the player skill, based on an assessment of the tanks the player is playing, the damage dealt (considering tanks played!) and the win rate.

Quote

Q. Can you publish the exact formula for performance rating?
A. Not at this point. It is a complex algorithm, not a formula, so would involve publishing the source code.

However, the main things it looks at are:
What damage have you done? This has the most impact, and is evaluated considering what tanks/tiers are played.
What is your win-rate?
It also does some adjustments in case of very low number of battles played and other special cases.
if not, then NM will clarify this, but some tanks are adjusted.

Thanks, now I realise why I got such a high PR when I played BatChat. NM surely considers it as a scout and as I got 3k avg dmg with it I had such a high PR last days!

Nice example:

This definitely needs some adjustments. xD

I'm not sure who you are comparing with whom. Can you please post the link to the NoobMeter page or tell me what players you are comparing - not just a fragment of a screenshot?

But in general just because one guy gets higher avg dmg doesn't mean he will get higher PR, EVEN with same tier tanks played (which is not the case here). NM is smart and considers fast damage dealers as needing to do more damage than slow bunker tanks (just like they usually do).

I see a big difference in average exp. a battle. Clearly the other player was doing something better that you were not doing. Like spotting or other things that give him more experience.

980 average exp a battle vs 663 experience.

I'm planning to produce a tank stats report, but I'm having some issues with it. Sorry.

No need to be sorry. You did an excellent job already.  :great:

I rather think he is using premium. I don't. :)

But spotting could be the issue, but to be honest I doubt it. :D

The question here is the premium exp even being taken into consideration? Or just the base in the formula. Judging by your performance and by your efficiency 663 exp average a battle without premium seems on the low side? Seeing if you have a good round you get around 1.000-1.500 experience without premium and even more with obviously hence my statement.

But I don't know how the formula goes exactly. The only other reason I see is that somehow the Tiger that he played a lot has something to do with it.

NoobMeter-site and wotlabs disagree about my last 110 rounds WN7-rating. Who is right? Wotlabs says it's 212 points lower?

Clans rated by recent stats:

Edit - Turns out I don't have rights to post to Round Table any more (needs 50 battles now). If someone could kindly repost and post that link here, it would be great.

Thanks!

Hi,

i will do it for u :)

quick clarification if I may before I do. Are the stats weighted or not? I ask because the numbers don't correlate if they are. Sorry to be a pain, it's really fab that u do this

The stats are weighted (by battles).

But they won't match with www.noobmeter.com because I ran them on my local DB which has more rare snapshots but (pretty much) all players.

Edit - actually they not only don't match, they differ quite a bit... hmmm. Let me think about why that is. Probably because my snapshots on local system are really quite rare so it cannot find good 30-day matches, while on www.noobmeter.com they are much more frequent.

I have a solution of what I could do but it would take time.
