The Berlin wall came down 12 years ago.

Although the wall is long gone do Germans notice differences between the Ossis and Wessis  culturally and Economically.

has the divide been broken or does it still remain?

I lived in Germany for some years and many i spoke to in the west would not travel to the East and likewise with those in the East I spoke too.

what are your thoughts and feelings on the Unification and does Germany feel united?

The differences still remain...
And i my opinion, thats okay
I´m proud to be an "OSSI".

In eastern Germany, we have a nice little Joke:

Whats the difference between the "Wessi´s" and the russian occupation troops ?
-> We got rid of the russian troops..  :Smile_veryhappy:
