Raseiniai Heroes' Medal  -  2

I repeat: T-W-O points?!

A very rare (if not the rarest) medal, and it's only worth 2 damn points?!  :Smile_veryhappy:

gg WG :Smile_great:

I know this is a stupid question but can someone explain what does linking your account to the phone number imply?
I mean, will there be some restrictions, like i won`t be able to purchase gold from another number,or will i have to introduce my phone number when i want to log in?
Also what happens if I lose my phone,or i change my number?
Thank you.

Raseinai heroes (medal for killing all enemies) gets you fewer points than Brothers in Arms... Sounds legit.  :Smile_amazed:

Just my luck... yesterday I did 12 kills in KV5 getting 5 medals, wasnt awarded sniper although 28/28 hits - no one better in that game. All the medals for a total of 10 points. But a good contest, 1 day too late though :P

So we get this "wonderful" contest, lets see what our american cousins get... considering that we are ahead of them in the time zone and there has been no notification from WG what OUR "End of year preview" will be, am i to assume as per usual we get short end of the stick again?

FU!!!
Contest that requies registering your mobile phone!!
That is so wrong.
Limiting it to ppl that have that option.
I deny to register my private/business mobile number and to give it to anyone! And i didnt protest when you announced that.
But now i have to. It is just wrong to limit contest like that.. what will be next? .. only those that have premium can get into contest...

so wrong....

Well I would link my phone number to my account, but it's not even working. Twice now actually.

So really the 100 gold is for demounting equipment and retraining crew, not even enough for a camo scheme :(

Depending on how its implemented it can do a couple of different things. EDIT: Just checked - WG enables you to reset your password using your phone if you have a number registered. But generally, these are the possibilities:
a) Send you an SMS code every time you try to log in, which you have to enter in order to log in. This is called two-factor authentication. Blizzard for example uses this with their authenticator apps/tokens.
b) Send you an SMS code or notification when you do security-relevant stuff (changing/resetting passwords, buy gold, that sort of things) or use the phone to actually reset your password
c) Do nothing useful, just send you the occasional advertisement.

"sugar coated mafia style bully tactics."
better safe than sorry! are you for real WG?
No other game requires this and all have email validation when a password is changed, so stop pulling the wool over ppl's eyes.
All accounts should be 100% secure no matter if a mobile is liinked or not, or you need to seriously revise your security protocols asap.
neg me all you want I really couldn't give a toss!

In case you didn't notice: World of Tanks does not REQUIRE this (although I agree that having to register the number to join the contest is rather shady practice). It is an optional feature which you can enable for additional account security. It has nothing to do with faulty protocols, it is simply an added layer of security if people don't want to rely on passwords alone (click me). You would be surprised by how stupid some people are when it comes to chosing passwords. But then again people who have crappy passwords because they don't care won't care about additional security either, so it doesn't really help anyway. Thankfully WoT is not a very hacking-plagued game since there is no transferable content so it isn't really worthwhile to hack accounts.

Like some posters above, I also agree that the points do seem way off in some cases.
But, meh, it's their game, their rules, play it or not, it's happening right now!
So, better prepare yourselves and... start the shooty / to get the booty!:)
Have fun all!

Maybe the number you entered was incorrect. Please check it again together with the manual.
ah and one more thing. If you entered the wrong phone number, you can only change it after 24 hours.
