Exactly, that is the reason I'm keeping mine too.

I leveled my T1 Cunningham crew in the past by driving T2 Light and M22 Locust too...

Now this hardcore crew is riding my T71 into battle, for fun and faster leveling the guys now drive the T2 Light, T1E6 and M22...

4x daily double for one crew = nice.  :Smile_blinky:

So yea, I'm keeping mine.  :Smile_blinky:

I'm doing the exact same thing for my T21...except I can't buy a damn win in my t2 lt or m22 right now :P

I managed to destroy tanks at distances over 200 and 300 meters on the Province map. My record is 353 meters, as I remember. I use my 100% crew from M5, maybe that's the reason.

....just How? What would be your estimate in rounds per hit? A full mag for every hit? 2 mags? 3? Did you actually kill them from 100 %, or just frag them? As the "accuracy" of the gun is a whopping 0.51...

Keep in mind that accuracy is like gambling. With 0.51 at 350m chances are fair enough hitting the target. Maybe about 40:60. With a 105% commander/gunner it's at about 0.48. So maybe 50:50. Nothing special, really. Just a bit of luck.

Biggest problem for sniping isn't the accuracy imo, it's the maximum range for autocannons of 350m.
If he shot him from "353m" his pray must have advanced 3m to make his shot count  :Smile_teethhappy:

Well, that might explain a bit, since I "only" got my crew at 75 %. Personally I still like my BT-2 more, but time will tell.

In this case: 2 shots and 2 hits in a row, one by one as fast I could fire. It was another T1E6 with around 60hp left, so these 2 hits destroyed it. Before it I destroyed Cruiser tank at around 200 or 250m, don't remember, need to watch replay of this battle. 100% crew + vents and GLD make it easier to hit. But I don't use it that way often. It's better at short range :)

I won't sell it, but I hate it. The gun is way too inaccurate to be of any use, unless you keep stopping to aim, in which case you will probably get lit up.

Got to admit, that after a few more battles it is no longer in my garage. I just could not cope with the playstyle, and thus sold it. For those 150 K creds I bought 60 cans of 100 octane gas for my T34. Feels like a better investment, as I have no urge to go up the US light tree. Maybe I will regret my choice later on, but it just was not a keeper for me.

I really like this tank, its fast and the gun has a good reload speed & the ammo is free ...
So to make it fair I buy 5 gold ammo with regular credits to balance it out.

And make that peticular higher tier tank sorry when he thought i was a easy kill  :-p

And i got a mastery medal in my first game with this tanks so yeah its a keeper in my book.

Gr,

Loaded it with ventilation, net, and binoculars, M5 crew at 100% (skills dont hurt), and use some premium ammo with credits and it makes for a great win rate (~75%) and fun.  For now I will keep it.  Though from what I just read the real tank to get is the t2 light premium.  Great for TC battles where 2 points are left to be filled.

Yes, its a keeper, fun little vehicle to play with. Low accuracy, but that is not really a big problem. 3kills last game and would have been 2 more if the others hadnt taken those at the last second.

Everyone has forgotten one thing three of these with 100% crews in a platoon will rip pretty much anything up. Have you ever tried to aim with rounds bouncing off you at that rate!!
Bearing in mind most tanks at that lvl have next to nothing armor. Its like watching a sardine can open  :Smile_great:

This I noticed when taking my T18 ou t when those tanks were first released.  1v1 it's not a massive threat, 1v3 of them  that's a lot of DPM and you might as well shut you eyes while aiming.

I will keep it till I am dome with the t71. Using it for daily 2x for some crew exp.

It is OK tank but not worth the garage slot and the credits you can get from the sale.

First of all your poll is incomplete, it should have a "will not sell because it is a gift" option, like many of you already stated.
I voted for the  "sold it already" cause i hate it, but won't sell it because it would be impolite to WG.  :Smile_Default:
I put my Chaffee crew in, put GLD, vents and binos, loaded only APCR shells (so damn cheep) and got ready to stomp noobs. Guess what, it didnt work, cause this tank is by far the worst tier 2 in the game:

Armor, sloping and profile, gun depression, hit points: overall 3/10
This is easy: armor is worst in its tier (16/6/6 hull and 16/6/6 turret), except the Medium mark 2; all others have more; comparing to D1 or Pz38 is pointless, but even the other american tanks at tier 2 have way better armor; yup, T2LT has more; and get ready for facepalm, even Tetrarch has more.
Profile is fairly tall from the front and HUGE from the side, turret is very small but with bad sloping and very hard to use from hulldown because of the horrible accuracy and aim time of the gun.
Gun depression and elevation are very good.
Hit points are good at 160, but stll not good enough to eat a salvo from a T2LT, which will kill you in one clip 90% of the time, during which you will NOT have enough time to unload all your clip.

Speed, acceleration, maneuvrability, bad terrain handling: overall 8/10
Acceleration is great, top speed is OK, handling is mediocre (really long hull), bad in soft terrain

View range, camo and radio range: overall 6/10
260m view and  325m radio is really bad, but the speed lets you get in range quickly enough. Camo is OK, like almost all low tier tanks have.

Gun: overall 5/10
- M2LT has a great single shot 37mm gun OR 20mm autoloader with 180 burst damage with about the same penetration, better accuracy, accuracy on the move and aim time, no contest;
- T2MT has all the guns from M2LT and a 37mm autoloader with better pen, acc, acc on the move and aim time than the one on T1E6
- T1 at tier 1 has the same gun, only difference is the reload time which is 8s instead of 5s on the T1E6, all other stats are the same, even the ROF in a clip is the same, 120RPM. 3s less for a reload is a steep price for putting a tank one tier above;
- Vickers med 1 is crap too, but it has a 70 damage gun with decent penetration and accuracy, usable from range;
- Cruiser 3 has the Pom Pom OR that superb 2prd that i even used on my stock Churchill, need  say more?
- Pz 35t has a solid 37mm with better aim time, pen, acc, acc on the move;
- Pz2 has a 20mm autoloader with less burst damage (110) but WAY better aim time, pen, acc, acc on the move and faster reload;
- D1 has a single shot 25mm with great aim time, pen and accuracy;
- BT2 and T26 have the imba russian gun ofc, great pen and acc, average damage, bad aim time;
- VAE type B has a choice of 2 great guns, the Pom Pom or the russian-like 45mm.

Basically EVERY other tier 2 tank has better guns.

So, you could say that is a premium tank and it HAS to be worse than a fuly upgraded regular tank.
Fair enough, now about the other tier 2 premiums:
- Pz38H735 has great armor, better view and radio range, bad mobility and a better gun, I would say it is overall better;
- Tetrarch has way better mobility and gun, great radio, better profile and armor, better camo;
- T2LT is the best example why the T1E6 is really bad: in every single way (except lower hitpoints) it is better:
- better acceleration, almost double top speed;
- same crap radio and view range;
- lower profile, better armor;
- better gun: 15 round autoloader with 12 damage 30 pen (only 3 less than the one on T1E6), which gives 180 burst damage, enough to kill soft armored targets in one clip (most tier 2 lights and tier 3 TD and arty have less than 180 hp); accuracy is better, aim time is better, accuracy on the move is better. Being hit by 15 rounds in 2 seconds also doesnt let you aim in arcade mode, so it has a really nice supressing effect. Only way the T1E6 gun is better is gold ammo penetration, but in real life aim time and accuracy make the gun bad at range even with premium rounds, it makes a real difference only at close range against heavily armored tanks. At longer range the T2LT gun is better (around 200m, not more ofc).

And that brings us to the main problem of the gift tank: playstile.
In low tiers there are 2 kinds of players: noobies with very few games and old players with pimped tanks. Tell you what: no chance against experienced players in the T1E6 (bad gun), and noobies can easily get lucky to kill it (bad armor).
In order to carry the team to a win you need to have one of those, T1E6 has none. It cant scout because its not fast enough and has awful view and radio range. It cant snipe cause the gun sucks. It cant take hits cause armor sucks. Only thing is good for is preventing noobs from atacking in the open. If your team and the enemy team camps there is NOTHING u can do, its too situational. French tanks with autoloaders  (similar in playstyle) appear only in higher tiers, where teams work together better.
The map pool in tier 2 doesnt help the tank at all: the tank is good only in Himmelsdorf, it is absolutely horrid in Province and Malinovka.

And if you dont believe any of that, tell me how many times have you seen a T1E6 doing great in a game? Tell you what, i have seen none.
Experience required for Ace Tanker is a good indicator of the effectiveness of the tank, because the game selects for it the top 0.5% of the top xp games in the last week. For the T1E6 i got the Ace tanker for only 650 xp. That is crap, i dont think there is another tank in the game which generates so low xp. People dont like it and dont do well in it.

I know the thing will not be buffed, but if it would I would like to see one of these:
- the gun getting a 6 round clip instead of 5;
- buffing the penetration to about 40;
- buffing the accuracy or aim time;
- raising the top speed to about 55-60;
- limiting the tier spread of the MM to only 1 and 2 tier tanks.
Those would be reasonable suggestions which would make the tank perform similar to other tier 2 premiums.

voted not decided yet but afther reading this topic i decided to keep it.

and labapulez if they buff it, it wouldn't be the T1E6 anymore as they make the tank behave as much the same as it was in history.

If a played doesn't like it this way than its his oppinion and nobody forces you to drive it.

I don't like it, but I haven't sold it, because... why should I? It's not like I get anything from selling it.

Anything this tank can do, I can do much better with tetrarch.
