Well, I certainly fare better in T21 than I did in M7, though my performance isn't stellar. I seem to get the best results as a flanker/harasser though. Oh well, only 50 000 exp to go.

Ok, enough is enough: 4 lost battles due to stupid teams   :Smile-angry:

God knows I tried and the tips in this thread really worked, but the T-21 can't do sh.. without a good team (even a mediocre team would be helpful; but not the [insert insult] I played with today).

Free XP FTW !!!

So please tell me that the T-71 is worth it and I will gladly use my free XP to let this "bad luck tank" behind me.

T71 is amazing. But you say you like the Chaffee - any reason why you don't use your Chaffee crew? T21 relies very much on a good crew, and it counts a lot for the T71 as well, although maybe a bit less, as the T71 is a much more versatile tank as I see it.

I have many tanks in my garage (too many I have to admit, but as other people collect stamps; I collect tanks   ) and I start them all with 75% and try to get them up to 100% minimum.
I always buy a new crew and leave the old on the old tank (because I don't sell tanks; even the T-21 will rust in my garage  :Smile-angry: ).
And as I said before: I'm doing better now (thanks to your tips), but the teams are getting worse and worse.
Ok, maybe I had a bad hair day and I will try to get more out of the T-21 another day.

Thanks Chinpira for encouraging me,

Martin

Edit: After a look in my battle log it showed, that I lost 7 games in a row (over two days) and now have 18 battles with a WR of 22,2%  :Smile_confused:
Shall I go shopping with my T-21 and buy him new shoes and some flowers ?
A nice candle light dinner afterwards and some champagne ?
I'm really don't know what to do anymore.
Sacrifice some animals for the War Gods ?

I think, grinding free xp with for example the kv-1s is much more easier, than grinding normal xp with the t21. I have to suffer always in t9-t10 battles with that shit t21. You says, without good crew, it is a crap tank. I agree, but with a crap tank, i can not train good crew. And i have no caffe. So it is a hard suck. The t50 is far more better, but is only a tier 4 tank.

In T21, if you are getting shot at you are doing it wrong.
Stay out of brawls, retreat where you need to, do not go toe to toe with anyone.
You have no armour, not great gun and you are quite big, it will never end well for you

100 games with the T21 so far - and I quite like this tank. Only the meh WR of 50% bothers me.

Its scouting capabilities are great, got a spots/game rate of 5 - wihtout any suicide runs. Sadly stats don't sum up the dmg by spotting. Too bad it can't really turn around a game if your team doesn't put to use your spotting. It's just not versatile enough for hunting/harrasing - at least most of the time I fail big time at that. Despite that I racked up some kills and even got 2x Orlik's Medal - just a bit of luck involved.

Crew was transferred from M5 - and currently at 92% 2nd skill.

Biggest blast was a 1500 XP without premium game - so far.

I've been doing the same thing, though only one nation so far (see sig)  The idea is to have lots of eilite tanks in the garage with 100% crews so I can chose who to take out.  I would ideally like to get them all over 50% WR given time.

Well today I had great time with T21, played first game this day and with 5x exp I made it to 10500 exp. Also killed 7 tanks. Suppose I had luck for a game of low tiers (I was not a top tier), but also for a map.

The best skill for this tank is 6th sense. if the bulb lights you must split it. if somebody turns the turret towards you, you must split it! just pound them when they are engaged wit some1 else.
it's quite cowardly but this is the best approach!

I somehow can not make this tank work. After reading many Guides about scouting (since I absolutly hated the m5 Stuart as an scout) I try to follow common routes and passivescout from areas described within these guides. But regardingless of what I do, I get spoted In these locations, before I even spot something myself and shot to pieces. And if I can move to that position without getting shot to pieces either a) I spot sbolutely nothing b) I spot half the enemy team just to see thatt my entire team just lemmingtrained down the usual havytankline c) I spot just a few enemys, but nobody bothers to shoot them d) The fast TD in our Team is hiding behind me constantly firing, resulting in the death for both of us. These are just some of the usual games I get into while playing scouttanks ( I played the T21 for 11 geames now, but it was the same with the M5 Stuart and the Pz38na. I can currently spot way better with my Hellcat that with the T21. So I was wondering: (since I would realy like to play these scouttanks efficient, even though I don´t plan to play scouts on a regular base) do I realy need an crew with exeptionaly good crewskills (camo on all crewmebers) to not get spottet and spot something in return? Because as for now, I can´t spot anything without being detected, but I am only running my T21 with an 80% crew.

Not really the best game or even close to it, but still a good show of T21's spotting ability with camo crew.
Pay attention to the distance to closest heavies. You don't even really need 6th sense in a situation like that if you can use that distance information efficiently.

Crew from Chaffee with 6th sense and ~80% camo-skill on all crew members.

I hope you get something out of this and see how much that camo skill really does for this tank. (Also I do hope you skip the end part for I'm such a blind idiot at times...)

So am I  :teethhappy:
The replay realy helped a lot, expecaly for the distance thing. Whenever I am watching replays of exceptional good scout players (like replays from tazilon website) I just can´t figure out how they are doing it, especaly since I don´t know for what I have to keep an eye out(same for mediumtanks, meh...).  But this was more helpfull. At least for me  :blinky:
Edit: One of my "better" games with the T21

Getting one of the mods which shows the max view range and the 50m auto-spot circle helped me with my scouting a bit.   Helps hold your nerve as they get in close.

If someone wishes to see more T21 replays, then this one is quite nice.
It's Erlenberg and accidentally it was the last game I played with T21 before selling it.

End screen.
