I want to get a (passive) 3D monitor which if possible is at least as good as my current monitor in regards to 2D quality and roughly same size.
I play World of Tanks, Left4Dead2 and ARMA2 regularly.
Been looking at the Acer Acer GR235HAbmii, Asus VG23AH, HP 2311GT & LG D2342P-PN but not sure what to get.

My currrent setup:
Samsung SyncMaster 2433BW (24")
Intel i5 2500K
AMD Sapphire 6950 2GB
Windows 8 Pro x64

You need double the GPU power to run 3D at the same frames and in WoT potentially more (Which may not even run with AMD's 3D). I wouldnt advise it.

I don't mind knocking the quality down a bit, but which monitor?

http://www.asus.com/...onitors/VG278H/ - for Nvidia 3D
http://www.samsung.c...r/LS27A950DS/XS - for AMD 3D

If you want a 3D setup might aswell do it right.
I got my Asus on order, should be with me shortly after the holidays.

I dont advise 3D yet.
Its "new" and it will not affect WoT as much. I`d wait with it.

The 22-23 inch version of those then. Samsung fails with the NVidia 3D but is a superb monitor to use with AMD cards. The Asus kinda blows everything away on NVidia while it still has a gorgeous 2D display.

A few reviews suggest 3D on World of Tanks is very good.

No new year deals or something like that? I would say get the Asus or Acer as a second choice.

What about this one?

Edit: Turns out none of the stores remotely near me have it in stock, looks like the Asus might be the only option.
