From Developer Q&A: russian answers

- After the Japan line we will work on alternative France medium and heavy line
- second France heavy line will not arrive in 2013

I am bit sad about this :(

Well, at least this gives me some time to grind XP on the AMX M4, which is not so uber funny, yet ;)
However, I remember how all of a sudden the T10 meds/tds and the chinese appeared...who knows, maybe we see them earlier, at least there already were some ingame screenshots around.

Info from Storm and SerB
'Do you have any data on the second branch of heavy tanks in France? Do you plan to enter this year?'
information is there, but the input of this technique has been scheduled for 2013

Is it only me who thinks that this line will use multi gun support? :Smile_ohmy:

Japanese Line?  :Smile_confused:
Wouldn't that be a rather weak line?  I mean iirc the Japanese had tanks that barely qualified as lights.  Maybe they had a few heavy designs but really?

If alternative lines of french tanks would be well armored and with autolaoder and well high penetration cannon (damage not lower than 300 at tier X) then it would be nice, and nice speed.  :Smile_Default:

Taking a quick google search on the AMX M4 1949, you get a forum thread with pictures and likely predictions. It's been mentioned several times that the second french line will be more traditional heavies with no autoloaders

http://forum.worldof...78-amx-m4-1949/

I don't know about you but I want that alien turret tank, no autoloader and a huge turret should mean great sustained fire and/or proper turret armor

No autoloaders on the second french heavy line. Also, there won't be autoloaders in the second med line(the one with AMX 30 at TX)

It will look similar to the AMX line (seems like it will be AMX afterall) with superior frontal armor (asuming again thanx to high angles) and a super angled turret with toughness compared to the T110E5 or even in the areas of 250ish armor. As usual weak sides and rear. And as said NO autoloader. The meds will end with the AMX30, but thats old news.

Personally wouldnt give up the hopes for this year. All the tier can be filled. It is only open where to place what.

There is much more problems with the Japanese tree where some spots still arent filled.

- there will be a second french tier 10 heavy tank, it's supposed to have very thick frontal armor (both hull and turret), but the sides and rear armor will be weak, the second French heavy branch won't have autoloaders (confirmed), not decided where it will start though

I like VERY much all except for last part "not decided where it (2nd heavy line) will start though".... as a person who grinded 84k spare XP on AMX M4 45 I would be seriously pissed if they will not follow what they showed off in last future FR tech tree.... or at least allow transfer of xp as they did in case of GER TD's.

Let's hope that the second heavy line will be a real heavy line...
it's historically incorrect to depict the french tanks with paper armor anyway. Some of them had that, but they were light/medium tanks... but common he heavies were real heavies, with a steal/armor in phase with the German ones.

Funny thing is that they didnt change the French tree after T10 med/TD on EU server but on all the others.

It;s odd, page says 6. 10. 2011 in top left corner yet the picture shows ELC and other changes that have come in/after the middle of 2012 ...
