It's the compressed version which still has the random virus signature, I unfortunately can't rebuild the 1.1 version at that time since I'm working on the next version and many new features are unfinished.

This is a strange issue, usually the player stats are updated every week or so; I know that XVM includes a caching system that may be the source of your problems but I don't know how to clear it manually, sorry. Maybe you'll get more informations on the official thread given on my first post.

Hey,

i just wanna say amazing installer, works greate.i had quite much issues trying downloading it tough.i had the weirdest errors but in the end i found out it was my virus scanner (avast) stopping the dll without it actualy told me it did..

my second problem i enountered was my progs contour mod was mirrored for the enemy team but that was easy fix by searching mirror in xvm config and replacing true with false.

just saying if anyone has same problems in future ;)

soo thanks again for amazing handy upload!

Thanks for this great program/utility. I just want to know if the Updater is supposed to install the latest XVM beta release (including latest XVM Stat) or the last official release. I tried the updater on one of my 3 PCs and it installed XVM 3.3.1 and corresponding XVM Stat. Latest I found on XVM site was 3.3.2 Test 4 and XVM Stat 1.2.2.*.

Thanks.

Guys, please read the previous pages, I can't do anything to fix that since there isn't any real virus in my program. The EXE file just took a random virus signature while I compressed it with UPX, so if you don't trust me don't download it but stop posting this every pages...
By the way, I'll release a new version soon so the problem will be gone hopefully.

@ L0rd_0f_War: it only installs the last stable release of XVM, but test & beta versions of XVM will be supported in the next version which is actually in testing state.

XVM Updater v2.0
  • Code optimizations.
  • Removed reports sending.
  • Fixed minor display bug in the french version.
  • Fixed progress bar display bug when the installation is finished.
  • Modified manual selection of the Wot installation directory (now "worldoftanks.exe" has to exist).
  • Modified user interface : removed 'About' section and some controls were reworked.
  • Added XVM test versions support (dynamically loaded at runtime).
  • Added XVM configuration file choice (dynamically loaded at runtime).
  • Added Windows 8 support for Dokan installation (activated compatibility mode for Windows 7).
  • Changed program icon.
  • Sourcecode is now available under GPL license.
Still preserving backward compatibility.
Unfortunately, the UPX-related false positive problem given by some antivirus is still there and it seems I can't solve it, so feel free to check the source code if you still don't trust me.

Eh! I'm not XVM support! :Smile_blinky:
This is an unimportant error that shouldn't cause any problem in game, they are aware of it but it seems it takes time to be solved.

It seems there is a problem with your Dokan installation. You got Windows 7 so .net Framework isn't the responsible, I guess Visual C++ isn't installed on your computer, I advised this to another user:
http://www.microsoft...s.aspx?id=18471
http://www.microsoft...ls.aspx?id=5638
You have to install both the x64 & x86 versions.

Then you'll have to install Dokan manually.

If it still doesn't work and you don't wanna loose your time on it, you can uninstall XVM easily with my program:
http://www.mediafire...vfqyiqlolsg8x7l
With the last version (2.0) of XVM Updater, just drag & drop this file on the program icon without starting it previously (a message box will appear saying that the script source has been forced). It will uninstall completely XVM and put back a shortcut to the WoT launcher on your desktop, do not execute this script if you have mods in your res_mods\0.8.3\gui\ folder, because the program will erase everything in that directory. XVM Updater will told you that XVM was installed successfully but it's the default text to say everything went fine, please note that none of the options will work with this script.

i cant understand, i installed everything you posted and it still gives me that error...

why it doesnt work? ive installed everything!!

maybe its a problem with dokan, you need to know that i tryed to install XVM 2 weeks ago without using your launcher, but it didnt work aswell....

i use Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit...

EDIT: ive opened the game and it seems that the game is using a little of XVM

it shows me the time, and the marker is the XVM one, and when the match loads i see XVM write in the message box, and i also see some clan logos, and i also have the last damage done number on top of screen....IDK wtf is happening

LAST EDIT: i think i solved, i started XVM from shortcut with "administrator permission" and it works now  :Smile_trollface-3:

RE-EDIT: nope, it doesnt work....using administrator permission it starts from shortcut but i cant use or set XVM  :Smile_amazed:
,

Which settings? If it's showing player stats, where is the problem? :Smile-tongue:
