Could do with either a bit more pen or mobility

I do think weakspot on turret needs to be abit smaller, otherwise its a fine machine

Yes, yes and thrice yes. Only based on my shit performance with it of course.

Type 59? No problems. IS-6? No problems. T-34? Some problems but feck it, the cash rolls in.

Super Pershing? Can't flank, can't climb, can't pen, can't dodge, can peekaboo, can occasionally bounce incoming.

Once you're spotted or flanked you're a sitting duck, the gun couldn't cut butter and by the time you get to the battle it's already decided. It's like having a Matilda with a tier II gun.

I dunno if I'd opt for more speed or more pen but it needs something.

My heart is bleeding :( If u wanna fast tank, buy a faster tank. Then "oh, everybody can pen me, pls buff it, or remove weakspots, give me BL9 and 1200hp engine!!!444"

Wait you're complaining about the SP's weakspots on the front? LOL how about KV-5's R2D2?  That's a HUGE weakspot.  And you know what I do?  I make it work.  56% w/l ratio after 125 games.  KV-5 is still awesome.

To those of you complaining about pen, KV-5 is less accurate and has less pen and I STILL can make it work.

considering T26E4 is a premium tank, eveything else except its gun is OK.

90mm gun needs a real good buff.

kv1s tier6: 175mm pen, 380 damage, and much more mobile. so kv1s would work as good (actually against tier8 it works just as fine, has less hp and not as good frontal armor as the sp,but the gun is better) if not even better against the tanks that sp encounters. pls, keep rof to yourself, its pointless on most maps.

any1 else sees the failure?

Nope, KV-5 has less pen and less accuracy.  I have no problem going up against most T8 heavies.  The only one's I fear are the T34 and the Lowe at closer/mid ranges because it seems like they can autoaim pen me.

P.S. KV-5 also has MASSIVE weak spots on the front.  SP's I've found and seen only have top of turret and a tiny MG port.

First premium tank I'm disappointed with buying. I have löwe, type 59, jgtiger 8.8 and just recently bought the SP.

Liked all the other prems from the get go but this one is giving me a headache.
As a tier 7 and MM according to that, this tank would be where it belongs.

Well i guess I'll just have to keep playing with it and try to find some kind of playstyle for it that makes any kind of sense.

super pershing weakspots: tubes on top of turret (cupola), top half of upper front plate, turret ring beneath gun mantle (and the gun mantle is quite small compared to other tanks), turret sides, sides/back in general are paper.

kv5 weakspots: r2d2 and...? compared to the super pershing, the kv5 is a fortress - inside their mm spread!

don't forget that guns whit 220 pen or more don't even have need to aim for weak spots

- tubes at the front of the SP turret are not the weakspot, they dont do anything, dont have hp and you cant damage them in any way, shells go right thru them....thou commander hatch right behind them is the weak spot and thats what you are hiting and thats the real issue since its wide and tall enough.
- SP is an ok tank that does his job in making money...but is it a good tank that can pose a threat to enemy team? the answer is sadly no,most heavy tanks can drive circles around him...and the abismal gun pen of 170mm at tier VIII is just underperforming to say atleast, arty and heavy tanks being faster than me going uphill and leaving me eating their dust is just...
- to summarise moneymaking is good to very good, armor exelent vs new players/bad vs experienced, gun is worst in its tier(stock guns have more pen on tier VII),speed is nonexistant, turret traverse is good but the best thing for this tank going is pure fun when u land in a game where you are top tier but that doesnt happen often

two things:

1. 60 more HP engine power
2. MM (too often battles with tiers IX)

and my SP is where it should be

Friend bought this for me as a gift... and I hate him for it :D If I knew what he plans to do I'd advise him to invest in gold and not in this god forsaken tank. Why?

1) It has no mobility, compared to any other T8 or even T9 US tank it's on par with T28 (meaning it can barely outrun Maus). It's only "mobile" when you're going downhill, then you can reach 40 kph or even more and only then it drives as it should drive. Otherwise you're rolling with amazing top speed of 20 kph (or 8kph when you're going uphill). You either call it a medium and give it a medium tank mobility (and proper engine - T21 has stock engine with 520HP and this should have 560HP) or you call it a heavy and give it better gun. Even with upgraded engine I'd probably have to pick extended suspension to get additional boost in mobility.
2) Its gun pen sucks big time. It's ineffective against most of tier 8 heavies from the front and paired with MM that's throwing you against T9 or even T10 you're faced with endless struggle to earn some credits. Some might say "use gold ammo" - well sorry but premium tanks were made to earn credits and you're throwing them away by using it.
3) credit earning - only flaw here is related to MM issues already mentioned in previous point. If you're faced against 2-3 T8 and rest of lower tiers you're good. Otherwise you end up with no pen shots and you barely come out of the battle earning some decent credits. I'd still have to consider using gold ammo for silver, as some mentioned in general SP thread, but that would only be profitable when you'd earn 100k +.

Weakspots - I don't mind the weak spots, every tank has them. If you're faced against an enemy that knows what to do he'll penetrate your armor sooner or later. No matter what you drive.

As it is now, the SP looks like one of the most useless tanks ingame. Yes, it makes a lot of credits, but what about the fun? The gun will actually be quite allright, if only the devs can make this tank faster, so that it can flank. If this is not possible, then i would suggest to change it to something like the german panther. A gun with high pen, but low damage. IMO this will make it more enjoyable, more popular, which means more profit for the developing studio. I don`t thinks that if they change the gun or the speed and agility of the tank, it will make it OP.

L2P  :Smile_blinky:

I really think the complainers dont have a clue of this fine tank! I belive that you really thought that ur are going to pawn everything on the battlefield and be the hero...

NO SIR, YOUR NOT THE PUNISHER!^^

Sure, this tank is not the best, like every premium! But it got good armor, a very accurate gun with a high rate of fire. If the pen is not enough just switch to premium ammo. 250pen is good enough for every enemy that u will meet.(no platooning with normal t8) Premium even allows u to make profit. The mobility is not the best, higher tier american meds are not famous due to their mobilty. SP got lots of additional armor plates, so what do you expect?

I often play it as supporter, going with the heavies as they have the same speed. Try to stay a bit behind the frontline, not much 20m-50m behind the fellow heavies is enough. Angle the tank helps again! Dont try to go hulldown since ur hull is the best armor got and most of ur weekspots are on the turret. In close combat situations try to shake ur turret so the enemy cant aim for ur weekspots. I carry 12 premium rounds, if they all hit the target u can cause ~2900dmg. Thats 2 T8 tanks!

Pretty easy but not a newbie-tank. It really needs some love from the owner, like every tank!  Still a good one, he do what he should do. Earn credits!

Sieg!
