Haven't you encouraged suicide scouting in the past few weeks enough?
Give XP bonus for Patrol Duty, that is a medal which has to do something with proper scouting.

Commanders,
Another week, another Mid-Week Medal Hunt. After last week’s start of this new weekly event in which we rewarded your marksmanship, this week we have chosen to focus on your scouting abilities. It takes bravery, honour and a little bit of craziness to willingly push forward, go deep behind the enemy lines and risk your own life for the sake of your team. However, it is undeniable that a scout’s contribution to the battle is crucial and should be appropriately rewarded.

As such we are glad to announce that for this Mid-Week Medal Hunt, happening from January 16th at 07:00 AM (06:00 GMT) until January 17th at 06:30 AM (05:30 GMT), everybody who earns the Scout achievement will be compensated with an additional 250 experience!
The additional experience points will be directly credited to your account when you win the medal. There is no need to register or take any special action to participate in the event.
We hope this little boost will encourage many of you to explore your maverick side and dive fearlessly into enemy territory to uncover your scouting abilities.
Good luck, Commanders! Your team is counting on you!

Instead of taking of completly the scout medal from the game, because makes ppl go in suiside scouting and not helping their team, now WG even rewards these ppl.

WG this is a PvP team game, and contribution to the team should be rewarded and NOT foolish play

It takes a T-50, T50-2 or an ELC AMX.

Give XP bonus for Patrol Duty, that is a medal which has to do something with proper scouting.

Joining as said again mostly scout medals are gained by dead scouts, who do not contribute to team after first two or less minutes of the battle.
WG please stop encouraging individualistic style of play, I need scouts who survive whole battle not just doing kamikaze style scout runs.

You can't be serious. Last weekend you gave extra bonus from scout-medal and I didn't really see anyone who thought it was good medal to reward. And now one day later scout medal is rewarded again...

Btw. This is now second -1 I have given to your specials. First one was for last scout-medal bonus last weekend...

I have no idea why the scout medal is given my just lighting up the tanks once. The medal should be given for 1) total time spotting tanks, that no one else is spotting. 2) damage by detecting.

This is exactly the wrong medal to encourage.
Any good, competent scout will typically NOT get a scouting medal. Suicide scouting does get you this medal, and it already is enough of a problem without it being actively encouraged by WG.
I am a big fan of the medal rewards. I think they are really neat way to reward exceptional play. But please, dear lord up above, not this medal again until the scouting medal gets reworked. There are decent suggestions above as to what needs to be done to make it fair.

This midweek medal hunt is ridiculous. Sorry to the staff member who though it would be a good idea, but it is not. Here is why:

1) Scout medal gives a reward
2) Everyone plays their scout, often suiciding. Games with 10-20 scouts are not an exception.
3) Result : NOONE gets the scout medal, because 10 scouts each spot 1.5 enemies.
4) Result : you get rewarded for NOT playing a scout, because in a medium you get easy kills, namely all the scouts rushing.

The only time the rewards for medals worked was in the newyearperiod, when we had xp for any medal. Then you activly encourage people to play good and get medals. Reward 1 medal and you get the opposite effect, or more likeley bad effects on general gameplay ( 5+ scouts suiciding on each side = great games... )

A perfect example of W.o.T not listening to their player base..

I sometimes wonder why I have this installed at times..ohh yes I laughingly desided to give WoT a reasonable chance when the brit tree came out, only 90 days to go ..

There was an event rewarding many other medals, and PATROL DUTY gave much more xp than all others. 2k or so, if I remember right. That was the first time I got it.

I mean, what's the problem? It's not "encouraging", it's just a low ammount of XP just to create an event, that's all.  I don't think 250xp would throw the suicide rates of T-50s up. The sky's limit, but they are pretty damn high just as they are now.
