before kv split i liked to play kv derp gun. after split when kv2 had increased MM, and needet to play agiants tier IX tanks, part of fun dissapeared, because of low dmg.
with introduction of premium shells for credits, that fun can be brought back.
but im thinking now.
i like su-100 with 122 gun. just go from cover and dish craploads of damage.
did su-152 with stock gun / premium shells can bring so much fun too? or i should buy kv2 with lower mm?

I played KV2 for 648 battles - never had played with tier IX - it's tier VI tank...
Su152 is tier VII, therefore it plays with IX tier. I think thank KV2 with 152mm is better, thanks to lower tier than su152.

SU-152 with 152mm gun is great fun to play.
I've lost count on how many I've one-shotted with it. Also, if you're in the bottom of your team, most of the time the enemy won't regard you as a threat, which gives you the chance to hit their sides and doing about 500-800 dmg + module damage. It's my 2nd favourite of the T7 TD's, just behind my beloved Jagdpanther.

KV 2 derp is great but....he hase a high profile and imposible to hide, reload time is tooooo looooooong, turet movement speed is also low(i killed one KV 2 with my crusader tier 5 brit only by circling him) aiming speed and acc @ 100 m are bad etc etc etc. Su 152 can hide, the derp stock gun do more dmg then the KV 2 derp(if he hits anything), better movement speed and agility without a turret but he can be put against tier IX. I'll vote for the su 152 but your real aim should be the ISU 152 BL 10 gun wich I belive is the most powerfull configuration on tier 8 tanks.

Both ar not bad. Have both of them.
KV-2 has turret, but this turret turns slower then the whole su152.
However when Su152 gets detracked, and that happens often....
I feel that Su152 reloads and aims significant faster, however yes, it is often facing tier IX.
While KV-2 meanwhile faces just tier VIII, and i feel even that does not happen all the time.
I play both of them just with HE, they are for earning credits not spending them  :Smile_veryhappy:

BTW, played ISU with BL-10 on testserver... didn't enjoy it. Tooo much randomness, to expensive.

KV2 no longer faces high tier tanks (the maximum +2 battle tier works very fine for KV2). I played it with HE only and even then its a beast. Besides, consider the following: you can research S-51 from KV-2. Its a hell of a long grind (~100k or so) but with the 152mm gun its fun (the S-51 is the only reason I played KV-2).

People underestimate the KV-2 which can be your advantage. Had a type trying to play around with me and flashing his juicy side and then *BOOM* 1000hp away from that sneaky bastard. Heheh  :Smile_trollface-3: Oh he ran... he ran far away.

Personally i like the KV-2 better. I've done quite well with it so naturally i would vote for it.

Both are fun to play thanks to derp gun. The question is - Do you want to continue with TDs or go into arti?

I think I will love ISU then.. So I would go into SU-152 or both.

i already have s-51. grindet it before split.
i sold kv2 after split, because in that time he faced tier IX tanks sometimes. and even with tier VIII tanks with HE shells, it was pure randomness.

i thinking about su-152, because after long time i starting to like TD again. and i like su-100 because of he serious dmg ~390.
and looks like su-152 can be even more deadly.
some tanks used to give fun not credits.

i would pick the SU 152 only for 1 reason
it leads to a proper line
KV2 (correct me if i am stupid) only leads to the S51 arty

however the SU 152 leads to some of the best TDs in the game (IMO)
also you can get a 122mm on the SU that gives about 8 rpm

hey, ladys and gentlemen.
I have an elited KV2, and stoped my grind on sovjet td's with my *beloved* su85. and to keep up income for my e75, KT, and so on, I had to get an premium tank.
I got the su 122-44.
After 200 games in it, side by side with su152, and vs su152, I must say I am not wery impressed. seems to me that it just dosent give enough damage throu out the game when mid to low tier.
the su 122-44 seems to out preform in every sittuation, and rhe armour on the su152 is not very good for its tier.
The kv2 gets great mm and is realy underestemated in random games. If you aim and use weakspots the kv2 realy gives out insane amunts of damage(consistantly 950 -1100dmg on tiger h/p sides)

IMO the KV2 is a tank that all players should have in theyr garage, its like the elc amx, a tank with an extreme fun factor its a tank to take out when you have a loosing streak and need the game to give you some fun and giggels. roll the dice troll and relax  in your awsome slow rolling kv2.

I can see this is a way to late reply, but many peapole read old post when choosing next tank.

edit; the reason I compare the premium su122 with the su 152 is that the premium isnot suposed to be as good as an elite tank of the same tier, but it is.
