T29 is prob. the best tier VII tank in the game!
Though, i am one of those persons that really loved the IS as well.

i think the t29 is much better... it has awesome alpha-damage for it's tier.
Even a T10 will have problems penetrating you when you are hull down.

When on Flat surface, the Tiger will be Better....

I woud say it clearly deepens on your playstyle.

I have no experience with the Tiger P except that its well armoured, but IMO t29 is the best tier 7 heavy. Takes some matches to learn but when you learn to exploit the great turrent its an awesome tank.  Currently my favorite after I concluded that i suck in tier X matches

i would choose the tiger p because it has a very good hull armor(also the turret armor is ok)and a good gun that is very accurate and has a high rof but at tier8 and above the american heavies a better than the germans(my opinion)

Tiger P can't sidescrap (angled plates on front) or hulldown (huge cupola + bad gun depression) nearly as good as T29. T29 is a beast.

I have no experience driving the T29, but I respect them on the battlefield.

The Tiger P however I have rather much time in, and I can heartily recommend it. Not only does it have a very tough hull, but it's turret can be surprisingly strong too.

T29 gets penned easily through UFG/LFG most of the times, while the turret is almost unpenetrable. I´m not sure about anything else, since I haven´t played it yet.

But having played the Porsche Tiger, I can say it can weild the good L/71 with great penetration and moderate damage. Also the hull is quite thick and if the enemy is dumb, he can bounce off it all day long. On the other hand LFG, MG port and turret cupola (turret itself isn´t as strong as the hull is, maybe 150mm armor) are easily penetrated. Mobility is normal for such a sturdy HT. But be sure to watch your angles, since all of your armor is at front.

well the at best case 70mm idk at sides of T29, dont help much eiter if you gonna sidescrape... but if you gonna angle your self, they both suck because the angled sides on the front of the tiger P and T29 suck also because it bearly have any armour on the sides.

They are both great!

But the T29 have and advantage. You can't hide your turret and shoot, but you can hide your hull and shoot. Se if you find a way to hide your hull in T29 you can shoot and they will have problems to pen you.

Has to be T29 for me, although Tiger P is also a great tank.

Ultimately the best thing about Tiger P is people shoot at lower hull thinking its a weakspot. If you face opponents who know the weakspots, you can't play like a heavy.

T29's hull down gun depression and tier 8 gun are godly, and throw a few pieces of equipment on there too to get that reload down.

I have been playing since 2011, it was the first tier 7 I bought, and I still have it.

T29 has huge tracks that eat most of the shells when you sidescrap. If a Tiger P sidescraps you can just shoot it in the turret or on the flat plate at the front:

More people play the T29 so more will vote for it, but the Tiger P is a monster in its own right.

Hull down it's a beast, but I've gone toe to toe with tier 8 and 9 heavies and beaten them 1v1 in my Tiger P. You can't do that with a weak hull and slow reload time out in the open and good players will just avoid the T29 when they see only the turret anyway.

In a tier 7 battle I'd say T29, higher up and your accuracy and slightly better penetration becomes important.

The global win rate of the two tanks are almost equal, so it's about personal preference really.

These are the 2 best tier 7 heavies, but the T-29 has slight advantage, its faster and has a better gun. So as long as you angle and try to protect your hull it is always better and in fact is pound for pound one of the best tanks in the game.

i think the T29 is the better choose then in late game the T110E5 is alltime better than Maus.
And the Tiger P have to many weakspots.

When hull down and defending, T29 is much better. When pushing the battlefront and advancing the flank, the Tiger P is much better.

If you like playing aggressively, you will live longer in a Tiger P. If you like defending and holding a position, there is no better tank than the T29.

I have T29 and only TIGER P is a tougher oponent. Hull down T29 can fight with even T10 tanks and laugh-bounce them. On the otehr hand is its gun accuracy and ROF. The Accuracy is quite bad, and ROF isnt good. And well, good medium tank or two and you back to garage. I think that It will stay in my garage for long.

I have played Tiger P in NA server, it is hard to play at first since it needs little time to get used to especially on stock, but it's frontal armor is amazing and if you can use it right you can stand toe-to-toe against higher tier vehicles. Also what are the end tier vehicles you want play, unless you just want to unlock higher tier vehicles I would say take both, but T29 is probably easier to play from get go.

go for T29, both of them are very good tanks for their tier but i say that the T29 is abit better.
