APSE Armour Piercing Secondary Effect doesn't contain white phosphorus, if i remember right its contains a smoke/flare compound to incapacitate the crew on penetration.
Using white phos would be a bit harsh, acridic toxic fumes and a metallic powder that burns on contact with the oxygen in the air at 3000c.

I was just going by what I read online, as APSE isn't a very commonly mentioned round.

But what you're saying is making it sound even better for WOT purposes. Almost everything I've read and heard about the RARDEN makes it sound like its almost designed for the WOT Mechanics.

Of course I thought the same about the Churchill marks, and look what we got.

They could market APSE and HE as standard and APDS as gold, if i remember right 2 x 3 round clips total of 6 rounds full auto before reload.
I'd make a great gun superior round design and ballistics.

Common mistake to hear the all smoke contains white phosphorus, they use it in medium sized mortars and tank shells as smoke but its nasty ass stuff safer to use a smoke compound.
Fairly sure its banned if you plan on using it against personnel.Ex Army Ammunition Techie.

2014 likely is when they'll start changing over, it won't be a "one for one" immediately though.
