Hi folks!
Since I got tired of waiting for a color fix for us colorblind people, I have now made one myself.

Hey people!
Since i haven't had time working on this mod players has come up with even better ideas and improvements.
Thanks to Yobtar for his instructions, and thanks to the one who made the big icons part.

View PostYobtar, on 04 June 2011 - 07:03 AM, said:

1. First download Colorblind Skin V1.5.zip
2. Then EXTRACT the file to the WOT main folder
3. Then download Colorblind Mod 0.6.4 Big Icons
4. Use winrar to extract the file to your WOT main folder
5. when it asks you if you wish to overwrite the existing files click Yes to all
6. back up your default WOT main folder before you do all of this

Thank you so much <3  I really love it. 1.0 was a good improvement, I'm looking forward to try 1.3.

A silly question as I didn't see it in 1.0.  Will this affect the Chat colour? It's kind of hard to tell who's typing.  Keep up the good work :):Smile_honoring:

For all colorblind people,
THANK YOU! :)

Edit:
one really really nice feature would be to also modify armor penetration reticle colors? green/orange/red? lol, all the same for me :P

All I can say is THANK YOU 1000XXXX!!!!!

I must say, I've not been playing incredibly bad, since it's so situation specific.
Mostly the brightness/color of the backdrop of where you're looking at.

But I've noticed to be VERY very slow sometimes in spotting  the red tank markers
in dense dark green forests etc. Specially in my peripheral vision.

I've been gaming for over 15 years, but only 2-3 years ago found out I was red/green colorblind.
I can only imagine how much faster I'll be able to react cause of this mod, something
non colorblind people simply have no problem with to begin with.

I believe 1 out of 3 males are colorblind. 75% of them don't even really know it.
Because they're used to it. Females I don't know I believe a lot less like 1 out of 5 or 6.

Downloading now. will make another reply if I indeed notice considerable difference.
( technically it should give me a huge difference )

I am glad that this works so good for people, If i had more time i would work on it all day. I am currently trying to find the colour of the enemy names. If anyone possibly know what file it is that are controlling it i would be glad if u shared that info. ;)

Thank you so much, DL right now!!!

Before this, i used a cheap trick to see detected tanks, i tilted my picture so low that my tank and the ground filed 90% of the screen, so i had a good background to see the red markers

Thank you again  :Smile-bajan2:

Ask in the tech section of the forum, if that doesn't work, send me a PM and I'll see if I can tackle one of the developers.

We would like to inform you that the information contained in the topic was shared with our senior officials. We suggest that the works on the modification of the client should be stopped, the official version of the client for colourblind players will be finished after the game release. This is great!
I am glad that this really caught your attention.

My idea is to continue with this mod until this gets included in WOT.
I wont work too much with it, but just enough to make the text and some other red things easier to see.
