WG has said they will make the game available for Linux this year.

Video of it:
http://www.youtube.c...eature=youtu.be

When that happens I can finally get rid of windows.
Linux is far more reliable.

Linux Mint 13

PS:
WoT works fine with wine
So no need for windows at all.

Nothing there about a Linux version. Definite for a Mac version, and plans for other hardware platforms (tablets, mobile phones etc), as far as I could see in the above video.

I'm using Windows Server 2008 R2 x64 setup in workstation mode. Win 7 kernel, without all the handholding and eyecandy on the UI side.
You might want to edit the poll to add "Other Windows versions" as an option.

Now that I watched it again, your right it doesn't say anything about Linux, but he says they will bring it to multiple platforms.
Multiple platforms refers to multiple operating environments (operating systems).
Linux is the most obvious step to me, hope it's not just wishfull thinking on my part.

Sounds sweet!

I've tried to install it on Ubuntu without luck, could you point me to the guide you have used?

WoT with linux:

With Wine version 1.5.22 no workaround is needed.

-If you are running a 64bit linux, create a new 32bit wine prefix
(WINEARCH=win32 WINEPREFIX=/home/"Your Folder Name"/.wine-wot wineboot)

-Install corefonts, IE7, vcrun2008, d3dx9_43, msxml3, wininet, via winetricks
(WINEPREFIX=/home/"Your Folder Name"/.wine-wot winetricks corefonts wininet vcrun2008 msxml3 ie7)

-install game
(WINEPREFIX=/home/"Your Folder Name"/.wine-wot wine "folder with .exe"/WoT_internet_install_eu.exe)

Windows 7 and got different laptops with
Kubuntu
Xubuntu
Lubuntu
and
Ubuntu
You are missing like 99% of operating systems at the list.
Even Mac versions are missing.
Cant vote because Ubuntu and Xubuntu are most used ones.
