Few days ago i have elited T34-85 and in few days from now i'm looking forward to buy T-43 ... People have been talking almost the same stuff about Comet ... i bought Comet and it was one of the best and most enjoyable tanks i've ever played... i just hope it will be at least the similiar thing with T43... we'll see ..

So far i'm enjoying with T34-85 ...

The t-43 isnt a bad tank but it is also not the best t7 soviet medium tank either (that falls to the kv-13 even with its pitfalls).
People say it lacks pen, well yes 144mm of pen isnt alot but then you are not meant to be engaging heavy tanks from the front, that isnt the point of a medium (and the gun is pretty accurate so you can if supported/supporting heavy tanks, hit weak spots).
This tank (like most meds) is a flanker and best works when there are a couple of meds together, if you use it that way then it shines like its suppose to, just dont get hit, the armour really isnt the best so use the speed it has and stay out of harms way.

It's ok. Good dpm, small profile, ok gun depression. Somewhat generic medium tank. Jack of all trades master of none. But it gets the job done. I've enjoyed mine. Altough would prefer KV-13 instead.

Well I've played with KV-13 fully upgraded, and it is the far better tank then T-43. It has same speed, thicker armor then T-43 and the same gun. But it was for me a very enjoyable experience, now I bought IS with 100mm gun and it's ok.

T-43 still sucks for me, yes if you play always with flanking tactics and pray that nobody hits you, you could do some damage, but when they put you against higher tier tanks you can only damage them 5-10% of damage per hit and they can just destroy you with 2-3. hits in your front armor.

And of course you're hear a lot od "We didn't penetrated their armor" and similar lines...

But now I have T-44, so my grind time with T-43 is OVER, now starts grind time with T-44 :)

T-43 is very fine tank... i had T20, Comet and Vk3002db... i can say that Vk3002db is the worst of these 4 while Comet and T20 are the best... But T-43 is great to... i bought it today.. played 20 battles and i am more than satisfied with it.
From 20 battles i had only 3 battles that i failed, rest of them were quiet nice... once i did 2900 damage in tier 8 battle and few times a little more than 2000.
So far in 20 battles i haven't fired a single gold shell cause i always try to get in position from which i can shot enemy side armor or rear in best case.
Just learn how to use it and stop thinking that this tank is useless.. if you think it's useless you can't play it good then... Think positive and play good with it, it's quiet enjoyable for me :)

For me problem was not in armor, it's was in cannon. Too weak for higher tier tanks.

Just shoot prems at the heavily armored targets. Very few guns are incapable of damaging +2 tiers after premrounds for credits got introduced

i like the t43.. not as much as t34-85 or the yankee t20, but i still like it..
all you have to do is ignore the heavies. work on the weak meds and hunt down scouts. you're fast enough to catch most of them. and an occasional TD left alone by his teammates.
and if i manage to survive the first 2 minutes i can easily make a mess in their rear lines. 2k+ dmg is a standard in that case.
and if i get lucky and end up in an even match.. tiers 4-7?
the result usually looks like this

Unlocked mine a few hours ago

So if I read correctly, it's an "amerussian" medium that loooks like a T34-85 with far better gun depression ?

If so why not. T34 and 34/85 were quite good, lets see how T43 goes. If things go south, I have read that T-44 is a keeper.

T-44 is a keeper when you have 100mm gun, until then   , T-34/85 is still one of the best tanks in WoT if you know how to use it

Don't think the T-43 is underpowered but I loved the fact a lot of people think you're the tank to kill last making yourself a perfect underdog :)

Well when I see enemy T-43 in the field I have nothing to worry about him :), This tank is a joke with 85mm.

One of best thing on this tank is, that everyone is underestimating you and they dont bother with you (IF THEY DONT USE XVM that is).
But when you start draining their HP for 180 every 4 seconds....show time
@foxfort upcoming ussr premium tier7 will have around 126 pen :p

i dont know how people can buy any equipment for this tank its so useless ill just sell this tank to buy other equipment to another tank
its a shame wargaming just sitting there with serb (who says t-44 is the best tank in wot) and just laughing and saying "how terrible" for every whine and serb is a big ....
you know
but this is so annoying this is the worst of wg they dont give a puk until the pro players with this tank is just getting there words and just pushing back to their brain because if we recommend this tank it will not get any buff so just close your mouth please
+ side scrape with this tank are you kidding im getting pend by tier 5s when im sidescarping lol and im doing it right i see the pens on the side
+ dont come to me with statistics the game is made out of gameplay not friggin statistics
+ tier 9 battles are you kidding ? "i cant penetrate tier 9 in sides(1)" not from front
then flank   read the "(1)"
then get behind  (yeah thanks and get killed by 3 shots thanks genius)
+use prem rounds at tier 9 -> pay your pants to wargaming get killed by wargaming get robbed by wargaming -> nah ill just not take that thanks

You mad bro? I completed the grind with the T-44 but I enjoyed the T-43 so much more. The DPM of the T-43 is higher and yes the pen is lower but since you are a medium with speeds anyways it doesn't matter unless you can't handle mediums.

For me T-44 is far better tank than T-43.

First better gun LB1, second low profile, looks like modern tank and you can kick ass when moving in second line of attack.

Only bad thing about T-44 is 11.500 to 14.500. silver for repairs + ammo cost.

When talking about performance of both tanks, then they are both the same, low armor thickness forces you to be in second line of attack with always flanking maneuvers. But T-44 is better tank just because of 100mm gun LB1. T-43 in previous versions had also 100mm gun. When T-43 had 100mm gun it was awesome as T-34/85.

The point here is not with armor, it's about having a adequate cannon.

You will be a bit disappointed with T-43 after T-34-85, ClaudiuCojo. It is not a game changer unlike its predecessor, but it can be fun once it is fully upgraded. You should always stick to support roles unless you are top tier or you see a lonely heavy or TD somewhere. Do not lead assault.

*shudders* I still remember a Tier 9 match on Erlenberg where I was the ONLY Tier 7 MT (paired against an AMX 13 75, if I recall correctly)... at that moment I just gave up and camped in the base, since I could not figure out any path or way to approach the enemy (heck, I'm still having troubles with that map, not even now I haven't sorted everything out)
