Will the USA M4 be rebalanced in the same way as the VK2801 after the introduction of premium ammo?

It is now capable of 1 shot killing an equal tier tank

If enough people spam gold with it the WR of the tank will go up on the server and maybe it will end up nerfed. Which will be a big slap in the face for the people who drive it with the M1A1 gun.

Surely that would depend on how they nerfed the tank?  If they nerf the howitzer then it it won't affect the people using the m1a1...

Fact is the VK28 wasnt rebalanced because of its gun, but because the entire tree gets extended. M4 is in the middle of the tree, so that wont apply. Also, if you want to change the HEAT problem, its not about rebalancing the M4 since the Wolverine, Panzer4, Hetzer, Sau-40, Stug3 and some others have the same gun as the M4 has. Ammo will most likely get reduced damage, but thats about it, no direct nerf on the M4.

True, but that gun is used on several other tanks so that opens another can of worms.

You can oneshot with the derp gun without using gold ammo. I managed it many times. :). I rarely use gold, because it can bounce. He never bounces. :)

They will rebalance the 105 HEAT shell.  Proably give it less damage....say 200.  thgis would be more in line with other HEAT where the Pen increase comes with a significant damage penalty.

Yes, hit the sides or rear of a tank with a regular 105 HE and it will be a oneshot too. HEAT only helps penning the front for the nice damage. Allthou i already put 105 HE's into the drivers hatches on P4's, penning and oneshotting them frontally. Its all about aiming, HEAT only makes it noobproof.

I think the HEAT ammo should be nerfed not the rest of tanks abilities. The VK for example, its a scout. Why do you lower its speed, why add more weight? It is one of the largest scouts in this game. You are leaving its gun, BUT its a scout not a damage dealer!! The gun became OP with HEAT ammo, so why not lower the damage of the DERP gun instead of ruining tanks for nothing! This is fucking insane, I keep reading topics where everyone say ''Yeah cant wait for it to be nerfed!'' well wait until they nerf a tank that you like and the tank is fine.

I would not be worried about Sherman's 105. It is (ab)used exclusively on US mediums. Probably some dispersion and aim time nerf would beat it into submission.

German 105 is much more trouble, because it is fitted on light, medium and heavy tanks (oh, and TDs too, though under different name). Now that's a challenge... Frankly, when I see PzIV shooting premium derps with 8 kills... that's basically paid cheating.

I made Pools with SU85, Tiger (back when there was no pools medal yet) and AMX 45 M4, and yet fail to make one with the M4 Sherman. So maybe the AMX is more OP than the Sherman :P

I got my first and only Pool's with the HEAT howitzer Sherman (also had 10 kills before on some other tank before the medal was added, but anyway...), took me three battles to pull that off- also got me one of my best XP scores ever.

Took away the HEAT ammo, was broken to the point of me feeling bad for my enemies.

I stopped playing the M4 with 105, simply because It got boring 2 shotting everything at tier 5. I've gone back to the trusty 76mm.

Medals ftw (pics are over 1.5 months old)

Just so. There are a lot of thread wanting Hetzers, PzIV, etc nerfed because of the damage, but it isn't the tank it's the GUN. The 105 Howitzer is widely available to tanks and TD's of all countries and tiers. To be fair it isn't the easiest (or most effective) gun to use. It has the worse ROF. leaving you almost helpless during long reloads, and it has a limited effective range due to it's slow velocity and high arc, particularly on moving targets.

I can't comment on Premium ammo - never felt the need of it - but surely the problems with allowing use of it arises regardless of the gun?
