I hope this thread gets a decent amount of different countries national support. So far it seems most are liking the Russian anthems. I have to admit there is something stiring about them, even to an Englishman like me. I personaly dont listen to music whilst playing, maybe I should, it may improve my performance.

Amazing how this song only talks about fowers, bees, farms and meadows and girlfriends back home, but since it is an SS march, later on taken by the whole Wermacht, it is deemed offensive by association.

Moreover, when you think of it, it would be ridiculous to charge in battle on that song. It sounds more of a "peaceful" march song than anything else, there is nothing military about it really (indirectly the singer is most probably a soldier but it could just any homesick person). Unless I am missing something. History freaks please enlighten me!

And for the record, I do not like the song, I think there are far better march songs out there.
